Boutique hotel: a gem outside of the city centre

This boutique hotel provided excellent service from check in to check out. There is no onsite check in but the instructions provided were very clear. I appreciated that they also explained how to access the elevator. The room was very comfortable and the decor was on point for being a former military barracks building. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Being able to customize it was wonderful! Coffee, espresso beverages and tea were all available round the clock. The hotel is outside of the town centre which, for some, would be a drawback but I really enjoyed the 26 min walk to the town centre via pathways and gardens. I used public transit from the train station with my luggage and it was straightforward with no transfers and the stop is close to the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice historic hotel, but a little quirky!

Door key code is emailed but the process ti unlock and locked the door is fiddly. Breakfast is also different, again via another email for a standard breakfast or if you wish you can request something special from the list, the breakfast is then left in a Browne paper bag in the breakfast room fridge with your room number on the next morning. Parking also has to be paid for as it’s a public car park just outside the hotel.

Was supposed to have a single room, room had sixbunk beds. Was informed if I needed a special order breakfast needed to order on line. I didn't need a special breakfast so didn't order. I got no breakfast becasue I hadn't ordered.

Avoid this empty hotel

Well, after having been looking for the hotel for a bit of time because no signs at all exists, I was finally in the room. The room was nice and spacious, but without any charm. There were no safe, no minibar, no wardrobe. And without any personal it was a little bit spooky. It was far to complicated to order breakfast, so i trusted the standard version, which i regret. Very, very boring. To save on personal might be financially good for the owner, but absolutely not for the customer.

This is an amazing spot - historic, stunning decor, delicious breakfast, great location (for a meeting at the hospital), and such lovely and helpful staff. The forest right close by is also amazing for running! I am so looking forward to an opportunity to come back for a stay.

Historisk oplevelse

Dejligt ophold pÄ et flot stor vÊrelse. Stedet emmede af historie, idet omrÄdet har vÊret en tidligere kaserne. Bygningen med hotellet blev ogsÄ anvendt til konferencer og selskaber, hvilket foregik i den tidligere stabs mÞdelokaler og opholdsrum, som alle fremstod med det mÞblement, malerier m.m. fra den tid hvor staben brugte det. Det var sm at bevÊge sig ind i en tidslomme. Meget spÊndende. Vi giver hotellet vores bedste anbefaling.
