The apartment itself is lovely and in a great location. The communication could be a bit better - we received instructions just before arriving on how to locate the key saying it was in a safe 'a few metres from the building', it's more than that and we were pretty confused for a while.
But once inside, it is genuinely a lovely property. The noise from upstairs is very noticable and they just seemed to be quitely living - you can hear every step they take. We were lucky as it only really affected us one morning, the rest of the time we were out and about.
The local area is fantastic, the street behind the apartment has traditional fado performers every night, a great craft beer place and lovely gelato shop.
One issue we had - I tripped down some steps just by the property on the last night and when we got back to the apartment the first aid kit was not well stocked so we had a bit of an issue patching me up. Lesson learned to always pack my own little kit just in case!
Overall, we loved the apartment and location and would recommend for tourists who will be out most of the time, just bear in mind if you want to sleep in or spend a lot of time inside you will be affected by the noise from upstairs.
