Nice hotel but room wasn’t ideal

Whilst the hotel was lovely we felt a little bit confused about the size of our room. We were part of a bigger group, all of us had booked the same room (at the same price). However our room was substantially smaller than everyone else’s. We also were the only room not to receive a complimentary bottle of wine and - because of the design of the room - we’re unable to draw the curtains fully, meaning we woke up very early. Staff was lovely and the hotel was nice in all other aspects, but we did feel slightly disappointed in the room/price situation.

Overall it was a good hotel in a great location. The staff were friendly there was a nice bar area and the breakfast was good. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had opted for a small room and it was perfectly adequate. I do feel however instead of having 3 radios, books on shelves and two chairs, i would have preferred to use the space for our clothes etc as storage was limited. Also a rainfall shower is great but not in a small shower cubicle as it’s quite difficult to keep out of the water if you don’t want your hair wet

Located in a gross touristy area and neighborhood of awful shopping and street beggars. The hotel main floor is nice with a cozy bar but the rooms are outdated, small, and weird. Looks like this was designed and developed pre COVID and it just is limping along. The neighborhood is awful if you want anything good to eat or anywhere cool to drink I would avoid this property in the future. It is far too expensive for what it is.

I was infatuated with the theme of the hotel. I recently stayed at another hotel in New York City that was very similar in interior design and discovered that the owner of Brown’s has stayed there and requested the designer of Brown’s to “make it similar - only better!” I think he succeeded! It was beautifully appointed down to the monogrammed towels, Smeg appliances and Marshall Bluetooth speakers - just beautiful!

Beautiful and great location

The hotel was beautifully maintained and represented it’s style wonderfully. The staff were extreme pleasant and helpful. I would never hesitate to stay again. Right in the center of the action and the Pastries da Nata!
