The entire stay was very nice- grounds were beautiful and clean, room was very nice, and it was quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was an add-on, which we don’t use, but it looked good. For all guests, they have complimentary hot drinks and small snacks during the day. It’s very close to town (10 min walk to shops/restaurants or the rocky area overlooking the ocean) Early check-in was mentioned online, but don’t expect to get your room early. We had to wait until 4pm to get our room, but we could walk the grounds until then. The only negative thing we noticed was the pools- there was a green film building up on the sides of both and dirt at the bottom. The ducks would swim in the cooler pool during the day.

The beautiful rooms and serene gardens was just what I needed for a relaxing birthday trip. The weather altered some of my plans for our stay in Cascais but the amazing massage at the spa and time in the sauna was exactly the pampering I needed for my birthday. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The daily breakfast was good, lots of options. The hotel is about a 10 mins walk into town, we found some very lovely restaurants and shops in town.

Casa Vela is so beautiful, the grounds are absolutely lovely! We had a very comfortable room with a large balcony overlooking the gardens. Breakfast is an excellent buffet and coffee, tea and cake are available all day. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location is a short walk into town or to the stunning coastline.

Casa Vela House… a spectacular destination!

Casa Vela Guesthouse was a wonderful place to stay… it was beyond our expectations! The grounds and landscaping are spectacular, and it feels like a such a calm escape, yet walking distance to the historic part of town. The staff are very friendly and helpful… special shoutout to André and Tania! It is a special place, and I would love to return someday!

Vegan influencers portrayed this hotel as a vegan hotel, but it is not. You need to call in advance and inform them of your dietary restrictions so they can prepare meals. My VIP access on the website said I had breakfast included, but it wasn't reflected on their end - which didn't matter at this point because of my dietary needs (I have my own food just in case something like this happens). The property is gorgeous. The sauna is amazing. I highly recommend the massage as well - but bring cash because it's cash only. The staff is really friendly and helpful.

Serene hotel close to everything.

Excellent customer service. Wonderful, spacious, clean rooms. Hotel was in a good location, walking distance to the downtown core. Beds were comfortable and rooms are serene. Breakfast was good but the same everyday. Variety of warm options would have been nice. Would definitely recommend.
