It was a lovely hotel but for the price, there were aspects that were less than 5 star. The pool area is kind of dated, and service at the pool was mixed (ie you do your own towels etc). The staff was great. Dinner in the main restaurant barely edible. For the money, it was a mixed bag - it seems like a potentially very good hotel that is in still working out a bunch of kinks. But again, the staff was great.

The staff at the Farol Hotel was excellent, specifically Sophia in dining and Artur at the bar & dining. Both provided excellent service, but with THE nicest friendliest touch. Honest review

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The reception area was very kind and welcoming. The bar area was a great spot to relax and enjoy a drink, but the prices were extremely high—more than twice what you’d pay elsewhere. We ordered food to take back to our room, and it was served in a tiny paper box with no condiments, which felt disappointing for the price. On the positive side, breakfast was wonderful, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was “upgraded,” but it didn’t feel like much of an upgrade. It was so low that it felt like being in a basement, and to see the ocean, we had to go outside and walk up some stairs. Overall, while there were some nice aspects, the high prices and room location left us disappointed.
