Clean and tidy but basic, hence the reasonable cost. Well placed centrally, Metro a short walk away. Staff helpful and friendly.

Everything about this property was a disappointment. The fact that you you have a whole building who shares ONE bathroom, let alone the room. If you guys could see the bedroom you’d be livid. It was like a closet with absolutely nothing in it but 3 little beds that doesn’t even have a proper headboard. Not to mention that the room doesn’t come with anything in it, but a little closet. No desk, no table, nothing. I’d suggest reading reviews before booking anything ESPECIALLY this hotel.

Nice location,little expensive, 5 min walking distance to the centre of Lisbon.They spray some perfume on the blankets & bedsheet which is too much alergic(itching on body).Internet doesn’t work or tooo much slow.Kitchen is locked at 9 or 10 pm.

We did wrote an email to this guesthouse two weeks early to inform that we will reach after 9pm, and we did received the email for the passcode to access the main door and room. But however, the passcode was not working. We tried to contact the person in charge, but all contact number is not working and we tried to wake up the guests in first floor but the guests can’t help us to contact the person in charge too. So, we need to overnight at the lobby area beside the breakfast table, and we asked for the claimed back money for the first night but the receptionist required us to write an email to hotels.com to proceed as their system there showing we are booking from Expedia. The bathroom is enough for every floor, but not that clean. The location is great and easy to access to anywhere of Lisbon. The WiFi not smooth especially night time. The receptionist who name Monica and Beatrice are very helpful and friendly to us. But not the Radimi (guy), he was very rude especially the last day, he required us to pay €2 to put the luggage in the guesthouse, but the guests who came before us no need to pay for the luggage, because we did asked very early when we arrived the guesthouse for the first day. He was acting very rude and unfriendly once we check out. I hope this guesthouse could look seriously to all these problems.

Great location

This guest house is very clean , but no A/C . They provide fans. Also you have to share a bathroom and not everyone leaves it clean.You get what you pay for. The best feature is the location , few minutes walk to a metro line, and many restaurants and shops near by.

I really would like to send a pictures that i took inside the room. It is not a hotel but a host. Very hot room and i have to pay for the fan 2 euros a night. The window full of moody. I thought i was on the third world country. It is closed to the downtown about 20 minutes walk. Everything was a joke there. I Really would like to PUBLISH THE PICTURE OF THIS PLACE NOT A HOTEL. THE FLOOR WAS A BARE CIMENT.

There was no light and the room smelled vinegar

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience staying there. Firstly, the staff was a bit rude during the check in, the person barely explained the basic information, almost did not look at us when talking and gave us responses with an ironic tone. When we arrived in the room, it was organised and clean, however, it was smelling vinegar so we opened the window hoping the smell would go away, it didn't. At night we had a surprise that the lights were not working and there was no staff to report it to, so we stayed in the dark. We are used to going to hostels around the world and usually, they are fairly clean, this one was as well at first, but after while the common toilets were disgusting with a blockage in the sink and dirty in the shower. I would advise them to keep it clean more often as it is a shared toilet. Luckily we stayed only for one night and wouldn't repeat it.

Worse than a hostel BEWARE

Was told that the rooma were wheelchair accessible.. Completely not. Wheelchair couldn't even fit through the door. Expedia did not refund the money, so BEWARE when booking the place. One single dim light in the whole room. Had 3 single beds that were bent and we were scared to even sit on. Literally 6inches of space between the 3 and then the room door would hit the 3rd bed. Washroom was horrible.. Tiolet was not afixed to the floor, sink was loose, and the shower was so small, a very thin person would have to stand and rotate. BEWARE. Curtains were falling off and very musky smell in the room.

This hotel is nearby the metro station interdente. The hotel has elevator which is helped when you have plenty of luggage and stay in the upper floor. There are two shared bathroom in each floor and they are quite clean. Room is also clean. There are shared kitchens in the 2nd and 3rd floor, that's very useful when we are in budget. Overall, it is nice guest house in convenient area. At night, as it is a busy street, it is noisy, but it didn't really bother us. We may stay in this guest house again when we come back to Portugal

The wifi was excellent but the breakfast far below average. The staff were freindly and helpful. There were no shampoo in the bathroom as expected for a room with private bathroom.

Good for international budget travellers

This hotel is one step up from a hostel, that said it serves a purpose in that it had during my stay a clientele of a very wide age range (From young, families to older stayers). Often older International travellers looking for value for money. Individual rooms (Not dormitory accommodation) but with shared bathroom. It depended on the clientele during the period what state the bathrooms were left in. Here i would say, that they need some signage stating "Please leave the bathrooms as you would wish to find them." My room was newly painted and very clean, the halls were always very clean. The mattress was particularly comfortable and appeared new. I did not try the breakfast as i prefer to eat out. One member of the reception was particularly friendly & helpful in sorting out a time on a tour i had booked.

Disappointing

We only stayed one night that was quite enough. The room with it’s unsealed concrete floors and walls was like a prison cell. The room was very noisy. The bathroom was tiny and room grubby. When speaking to the staff indicating we were shortening our staff they were matter of fact.....with no apology

Portugal Ways Culture Guest House was an ok place for a short stay. The place was quite basic but for the price I paid it was ok. The room and the common areas were fine but I would have liked to have more lighting in the room. The area was nice with many cafes and restaurants close by.
