Location is the best part of our stay. Staff greeted each time we entered and left. There is great hot water despite what some said. Downfalls are noisy street, smell of smoke occasionally and room had a stale smell.

Pluses: location( the best possible, minutes to historical center and not far from Alfama); nice (but smallish) room; clean; good value. Minus: noise from rue Arsenal all night; breakfast room was closed. All in all: good place for a short stay.

Good location but rooms were covered with dust, hair, and mosquitos. Every night we were getting BIT by these bugs, the bathrooms were dirty and TINY. There was no room to move around, and they kept taking our towels everyday and our last two nights we didn't have ANY TOILET PAPER. They brought us anymore and the spare beds they gave us where uncomfortable, and loud. The walls were very thin so every morning, we would be woken up by people upstairs above us, and at night, drunk people walking back to their rooms at night we could hear everything.
