Wonderful spot in Graca neighborhood that is an easy walk to many local restaurants, a grocery store, bars, and everything you could need. The neighborhood feels less overwhelmed by tourists, at least when we stayed, and still has very nice local flavor. I don’t know how locals might feel about that but as a visitor, the neighborhood felt far less catered to tourists than other neighborhoods we walked through and it was really a very nice and welcoming place. Just one downside: you will want to take an uber or taxi to get to Baixa, Liberdade, and neighborhoods west. The direct walking route just downhill from Graca to Baixa does not feel safe. It was okay during the day, but our family with teens were on high alert while walking through there even during the day. Do not go off the main streets when walking. Google Maps walked us through some alleys that did not feel safe. We would not have walked there at night.

Great communications from Teresa, with lots of helpful information. Teresa greeted us and showed us around and was happy to be available if needed. The flat was spotless, stylish and comfortable - especially the beds. We loved the balcony too!

Communication was easy. Great location especially if you want a less touristy area but still be within walking distance to all Lisbon has to offer. Visit the local shops to get a true flavor of Portugal.

We like to be immersed in the local feel but slightly away from hustle-bustle to unwind, and this bright quiet happy well-designed space made us feel cozy and welcome. Great light & excellent decor, comfy beds. Hosts so friendly and thought of everything, gave us many tips. Easy to get to everything: market and coffee shops steps away, restaurants a block or two, beyond that we could get an uber in 2 minutes to anywhere else.

Great place for the family

We loved the apartment, close to restaurants and public transit. Very clean and comfortable. Only quibble was the noisy ejector pump for the second bathroom. Teresa was a great host, highly recommended!

Lisbon all around you!

The apartment is very comfortable...with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a lovely living room and the kitchen that was great. Good central location with lots of up and down walking and TukTuking all over Lisbon. Teresa was an excellent host! She did a great job of keeping in touch prior to our visit and greeted us upon our arrival. Strongly recommend her and the lovely apartment!

Well Appointed Apartment in Lisbon

The property matched everything on the site and the reviews. It was spacious and tastefully decorated. The high ceilings and tiled/wooden floors made us appreciate a traditional Lisbon apartment. The balcony was a great spot to relax with a coffee or glass of wine. Given our length of stay in Portugal the washing machine was an added bonus. We cooked a few meals and the kitchen has everything you need. Many excellent restaurants are also close by.Our host Teresa was terrific. We had an early flight arrival and she was graciously able to accomodate an earlier check in. She made many excellent recommendations for places to visit and where to eat. The lovely bottle of Douro wine and chocolates on arrival were appreciated.We greatly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Great home base to explore Lisbon

No regrets, but not sure I’d stay again

The decoration and layout is consistent with the pictures. The residential neighborhood and old building is both good (authentic) and bad (questionable safety concerns when I couldn’t get the skeleton key for the outer door to work, needed more muscles). The pump to take water from the master en suite bathroom to the main bathroom is quite loud and frequent. Not a deal breaker, but more intrusive than I thought it would be. The fridge wasn’t sanitized and food pieces left quite the smell. You’ll definitely hear the upstairs tenants, but not unexpected for an old building. We walked quite a lot around the whole city and knew it would be hilly, the Graça neighborhood is no exception. Teresa was very responsive to vrbo messages and gave helpful suggestions for Lisbon and Porto.

Perfect flat in Alfama

Convenient Location

Teresa was extremely helpful and accommodating and had suggestions of things to do and places to eat We were able to walk to Padarias, restaurants and Tram 28 stop. Mercado was on corner and had necessities for our stay. We didn’t have to wait long for Bolt cabs. Weekends are loud but overall location is quiet. Apartment spread out with kitchen in back away from bedrooms. There was plenty of space and light. We were pleased with our stay.

Amazing apartment in a great location!

We had a wonderful stay at Teresa’s place near the Graça area. Convenient, clean, spacious, and unique. The bedrooms were comfy, the kitchen was amazing, and the living space was large and welcoming.

Beautiful Flat

Lovely, very large and spacious flat in Lisbon. We loved how it was styled. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. They helped us arrange things for our babies and let us checkin early because of them. So nice!

Graça Retreat in Quaint Neighborhood

The rental has been recently updated with modern amenities and comforts. The photos on VRBO are accurate in their depiction of the unit. Our bed in the main bedroom was comfortable, did not sleep in the others. The rental has AC with individual temperature controllers in each room. There are a number of restaurants in the area, our favorite was a small local seafood restaurant that mostly caters to locals but was very welcoming to us. Fresh shellfish and fish. I believe it was called, 1º JANEIRO, about 4 blocks from the rental up the hill. This rental was spacious and would easily accommodate 6+ people. The second bathroom uses a transfer pump which will make some noise when operating, the only downside to the rental. Lisbon is a hilly city and this area is no different. Be prepared for hills or use Bolt to get around. We used Bolt often. There is a folder with recommendations for restaurants and entertainment. We did the recommended Fado in the old chapel which was fantastic. This is a quiet area of old Lisbon, which was perfect for us.

Location, response time, deposit

The apartment was well appointed. The air conditioning was wonderful. I was a little concerned that it was located too far out of the tourist zone, but that concern evaporated with Bolt and Uber, which could transport us anywhere we wanted to be for a few euros. The host was very patient with my questions about how things work, provided lots of local information both before arrival and with literature in the apartment, and was highly responsive when we experienced dripping from the unit above. She also granted us a later check out as we were leaving. The only matter that is still outstanding in my mind relates to a refund coming to me when we changed our stay from 7 days to 4 days. I was quickly refunded the day rate, but was not refined the fees or taxes. The host advised that I should address that with the booking site. I will.

Great apartment in quiet area

Overall we had a great stay. The apartment was larger than expected, with a large, updated kitchen that was very well stocked. Some features are older, but classic (like the hardwood floors). We arrived in Lisbon very early, and were able to drop our bags off at the property well before check-in. There is a dedicated parking spot behind the building for a small additional charge (€10/day). The host was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The location feels more residential than tourist (our preference in bigger cities), but it's only a 5 minute walk up the hill to a busier/tourism-heavy area, and there are bus stops right around the corner (Ubers are cheap too, and were easy to get at this location). It worked out very well for our time in Lisbon.

Very beautiful accommodation

Teresa’s place was very clean, big, comfortable, and well decorated. It has everything you could need. Bonus points for location and nice air conditioning :) we would return in a heart beat
