I actually never got to stay here because the host canceled on me the day of. I had already been charged, had my confirmation number and everything that I needed. It was getting close to check-in time and I hadn't heard back from the host, so I finally sent a WhatsApp asking how I was supposed to get into the flat, and I was told it's unavailable. I sent everything to the host showing her that I had a confirmation and that I had been charged and still told me it was unavailable. I finally had to call VRBO and talk to a customer service agent and tell her the situation. She confirmed with me that I had booked the flat and was charged. She had to call the host and ask what was going on and again the host said it was unavailable and that there must be a glitch on the VRBO app, or her app wasn't working correctly. I don't think the host was being honest. The VRBO customer service agent on the phone was very nice and apologetic. She refunded my money which was great, but I was then left without a place to stay for 5 days in a different country. I had to spend the next few hours scrambling to find a place to stay. 2 or 3 days after this happened, I then again saw this same place up on VRBO saying that there was availability. I think this place is a scam. I don't know why the rating is so good. This was completely unacceptable and I think the rating should be lowered for canceling the day of. I wonder how many other people have had to deal with this as well. Worst experience on app
