Was charged 35 euro when an umbrella was stollen. Probably cost them less than 15. Don’t make money from someone’s misfortune. I’ll never stay at an IHG hotel again. The previous one I stayed in -Budapest- a few days before -destroyed my sweater when I put it in for dry cleaning. Staff called me “the American” when I complained about the charge. They said the manager would speak with me. He never did. Fortunately we had to leave a night early because the Airconditioning in the room was also sub par, the bed indented and too soft and the pillows flat when used. Hmmh. Maybe I should have scored this lower…

Excellent location, just off Rossio Square. Literally 1 min walk from the McDonalds so put in McDonald's address from the airport. Beautiful carpet in hallways and room, and solid wooden shutters, all maing the room almost sound proof. A very beautiful and comfortable hotel. One alley over from the square so perfect for the noise reduction. Highly recommend!

The room is nice, and the hotel convenient. BUT there is very little room for putting clothes away. I also would say you should advise your guests before they arrive that the hotel is in a pedestrian and they should advise the taxi cars and how to get help with luggage.

The check in process was fast and efficient, and we were shown to our room. The bar area, inner square and dining areas are beautiful and the original building structure has been used very well Breakfast needs to be reorganized, with plenty of space in the breakfast area they seated people too close to each other. Tables are way too close together. Some of the breakfast items are from the buffet and some you order from the waiter, the menu is not clear on which is which. You have to order coffee from the waiter and the milk and the spoon, if you don’t ask for each one you have to wait until he goes past again(maybe that was a once off). To put of flask of good coffee on the table with a small jug of milk would give people a lot more relaxed breakfast, reduce traffic up and down and increase the waiter’s effectiveness. Bar staff very friendly but get distracted by their phones and colleagues and forget they have guests waiting to be served. The room (405) was ok, very clean but generally did not match the level of the more public areas of the hotel, it was a fairly standard room and would equal those of hotels a lot less expensive. Overall the hotel is very clean and the public area are really relaxing and beautiful.

Good location in Lisbon, very friendly and accommodating staff. My only issue was that we tried multiple times to use the sauna and each time there was someone in there completely naked. Being that this is a family hotel, some sort of signage that you need to be wearing a bathing suit in the sauna would be appreciated. While we didn't get to use all of the amenities for the reason above, the overall stay itself was great.
