Chicken Supreme

Every thing about this hotel was excellent,but one night I decided to eat in the restaurant. The meal I chose was chicken supreme. It was absolutely uneatable. The waiter asked me if I would like to change it, but I declined and didn’t even risk the sweets.

We have stayed in this hotel several times and always had an enjoyable experience. What a disappointment this visit was. At check in there were two people ahead of us complaining about lack of air conditioning and TVs not working. Surprise surprise, we got to our room and there was a fan but no working air con. It was a really hot weekend and unbearable with hardly any air coming in the room, leaving me feeling quite ill. It appeared the hotel is not being maintained and no maintenance available to fix it during our 4 day stay. We requested a dog friendly room 8weeks previously at the time of booking but received a message just the day before saying no dog friendly rooms available-thankfully our dog sitter had availability at short notice. This experience has left us feeling very disappointed.

We were staying in the penthouse, an amazing room. However had to turn off the drinks cooler as it was very noisy intermittently. Was very disappointed after showering that the bathroom flooded, blocked drain i assume, had to use all towels to mop floor was sorted by following evening. Was also disappointed not to have water replenished for 2nd night. Would have expected this for the Penthouse considering the cost. Advanced warning should have been given for ground works next door- ruedly awakened at 8:15 building was shuddering ☹️

No Air Conditioning in a heatwave.

Upgraded to a suite and paid just under £1100 for a 4 night stay. First night before bed we noticed the air conditioning didn’t work and being an extremely hot week we notified hotel the following morning. After being out all day we returned to the hotel to find it still hadn’t been fixed and on reporting it we were given a fan and no notification on when it would be fixed. Having upgraded to a suite with the bonus of fantastic views we had to spend the remaining time with curtains drawn to keep out the heat as the room was all glass surround. At bed time we had to sleep with the door open on the balcony and noisy fan running. This led to lack of sleep and when we left on Sunday morning it still hadnt been fixed. Very poor from the maintenance department which soured our stay making the room uncomfortable to be in.

Great location for Victoria Park and events going on there. Bar has happy hour on cocktails 6-8pm so good value. Unfortunately air con wasn’t working on Floor 3 so rooms very warm

A very pleasant surprise.

The outside of the hotel doesn't do the inside justice as first impressions aren't quite favourable (building looks tired). Inside though,the presentation is beautiful, the staff are extremely polite and helpful, the room was to a very high standard. Really quite and the air conditioning was extremely appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful with a wide variety but could have done with being slightly warmer. Overall, a wonderful stay and we would definitely use the hotel again.

We were never able to check in because the property was not as advertised from where we needed to travel from . This was false advertising. It said the hotel was 11.5 miles from Blackpool. It was 36, and over an hour drive. It was not possible for us to check in from where we were. This reflects badly because the travel time is not indicated only the distance which is over a body of water so it's 11.5 Mi if I had a helicopter or if I swam. The agent at Expedia acknowledged that this was an error and could not negotiate a refund because this hotel was booked solely to its advertised proximity to Blackpool

Family birthday celebration

8 adults and 1x 8 yr old family members stayed 26tb July.. Our roms were all comfortable and we got no noise from outside or in the corrudors. Elderly parents had a wet room bathroom which we had requested. Perfect! Food was delicious. Groupon deal included evening meal. Limited selection but we all enjoyed.
