The building is a great example of art deco architecture whose character has been reflected in art and furnishings. The rooms are comfortable, if a little tired, and the bathrooms are in a classy period style. The food and beverage service lets the overall experience down as the staff seem disinterested, are disengaged, and act more like they are working in a pub than a supposedly upscale hotel. Examples include being served a meal and directed to collect your own cutlery, and breakfast service is poor with things like the juice bar being left to overrun with spillage rather than having a drip tray or for anyone to think about cleaning it. I'm undecided if I would stay here again, probably not

The Art Deco building is fantastic and the rooms are good quality and comfortable. They do need to sort out the service levels however as the breakfast room is often in chaos and never attended when arriving
