Lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking.. Bridge Cottage is a cosy, traditional cottage, retaining many attractive period features and has the most amazing outlook from the garden, where you can sit and relax with the sound of the river for company. Bridge Cottage is comfortably furnished, very well-equipped property all on the ground floor, with the living room boasting an attractive open log fire. Adjacent to the owner’s home (a former watermill built in 1755) Bridge Cottage has a small, fenced garden to the rear, high above the river, with seating and delightful river views where you can sit and enjoy the wildlife.
From Bridge Cottage you have an excellent base for hill walking or gentle forest trails with quiet country lanes it’s the perfect place to enjoy the area. Whilst in a lovely rural spot Bridge Cottage is only 2½ miles away from the small market town of Lockerbie where you will find some delightful little shops and restaurants. The town has a train station with excellent links to Edinburgh, Glasgow and Carlisle where you can hop on and enjoy a day trip away. Conveniently situated to take advantage of this beautiful area where you can explore stunning abbeys, historic castles, stately mansions and long, sandy coastlines. You can enjoy long walks in every kind of beautiful scenery from rolling hills and lush forests to sweeping beaches.
