Our room was a generous size. There was even a table and chairs (in addition to king bed, two nightstands, recliner & long dresser) so we could eat comfortably and play a card game too. The decor reminded me of spending the night at my grandparents’ house. It’s certainly not the latest and greatest, but has a welcoming feel! :)

The room was quiet and cozy! I appreciated the guy who helped at the front desk tremendously! They do not have a key card system nor an elevator but it is only two stories high.

My son and I travel around the country going to college football games. We were looking at budget options near Madison and this fit the bill at a third of the cost of anything in Madison on a gameday weekend. 30 minute drive to get to the city wasn't bad at all. The other reviews on here and google made me a little nervous, especially when we were going to check in very late. Staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The property and room we stayed in was clean and well maintained. My only mild criticism is everything was very dated. Imagine a hotel just not getting a major renovation for 30 years. Furniture, lamps, carpet, etc definitely look like they've been in use in the rooms with no change since the 90's. Not a problem for us, but could see how it might be a turnoff for others. We've definitely paid much more and had much worse. I will absolutely come back the next time i need a place to stay in the area.

Staff of was very rude and disrespectful, he over charge my stay because “I was being unfair” he claims that he 2 more people going in a room than I said when they were just helping carrying things in. I tried to explain but he kept interrupting being rude and disrespectful and HANG UP ON ME, before I could say anything else. Rooms smell little weird, they need a lot of update but they’re very clean.

Everything was fairly clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable, but had some stains on the sheets. The furniture was older and scratched up.
