This was my first stay at this property, and immediately I saw how inaccessible it was. Stairs everywhere with no ramps or lifts, staff that are quite unapproachable, and the simple fact that accommodation is spread between different buildings (something I did not realise when I booked).
Security was great, though I recognised the interiors were incredibly dated and facilities were barely equipped (eg: enough milk for one tea, no towel rail in the bathroom, bin bags that were clearly repurposed shopping bags).
I also noticed that there was a landline which was not connected and had no way of being connected, and the shower was both faulty and mislabelled resulting in a couple of near injuries.
I loved, however, that there was a wall-mounted fan close to the bed!
In terms of the area surrounding the property, there isn’t much of a view. At half past 4 in the morning, I was awoken abruptly by loading vans being incredibly noisy outside. Roads are typical for near-central London, and thankfully the central building for breakfast, check-in/out (etc) was very close by.
Speaking of breakfast, the offering was decent if could find it! Pity the staff weren’t more approachable.
While many of the faults outlined above did not directly impact my specific stay, it says a lot about the care and attention given to the properties and is important for people to know before booking. My property was a roughly decent place to sleep but took “budget-friendly” to its most extreme meaning.
