Desapointing I still hope that VRBO will reimbuse
I called the contact before we arrived and he never showed up to hand out the keys. We walked around for at least an hour worrying and trying to find the unit and when we finnaly got an answer from the contact, he said we should get the keys from the indian restaurant on the corner. When we finally got the appartment the cleaning had not been done and there were garbage everywhere. We had to stay at the hotel for this first night. With the help of VRBO support,we reached the owner that promise a reimboursement for the first night and the cleaning of the appartment for the next morning.
The manager was finally able to get the appartment cleaned the next day afternoon. This was not perfect but considering the difficulty to find another apartment at this last minute, we agreed to maintain the rental.
The few points below are only the short list of problems
Mold in the bathroom
Broken mirror in the bathroom
No kitchen knife
Dirty shower curtain and room carpet
All the kitchen pan are sticky
No kitchen cloth
etc.
During our week of vacation, the owner removed the add from the VRBO site and does not respond to communications.
I hope VRBO will honore its client warrenty and reimbure us
