My wife and I enjoyed our five night vacation in London while staying at Ember Locke Kensington. The staff was warm and welcoming, and our room was very comfortable with plenty of amenities. I enjoyed a wonderful Chai tea latte from their coffee bar while sitting outside in their lovely garden patio eating area the day we arrived. We also took advantage of their bar and ordered a delicious pizza made on-site later that night, which we conveniently ate in our room as we were exhausted and it was getting late. The location is a quick 5 minute walk to 'the underground,' or subway, and there is a bus stop very close by. We would definitely stay at Ember Locke again if traveling to London.

We enjoyed our stay. A few minor issues. It felt somewhat chaotic in the lobby/dining area. It seemed there were a lot of new staff members and there seemed to be confusion about how things worked. Minor irritations in the room. The coat hangers on the metal coatrack just kept sliding off. The room was designed with a huge light fixture installed on the wall right next to the TV so it impacted the viewability.

This hotel was beautiful! The staff were friendly and helpful (we loved Rose, such a sweetheart and we shared a few laughs with her). The room was beautiful and well decorated. The garden out back was a nice space to have a meal. It will be a few years until we are able to return to London but we will stay here again next time.

Let me start by saying George and John are the absolute best! I left my phone in the Uber and they quickly jumped in to assist. They were helpful with restaurant suggestions, transportation and directions. Every hotel should have a George and John! The Ember Locke was clean and a bit quirky (in the best way) and the coffee shop and restaurant are good as well. The hotel was a good walking distance to restaurants and the tube. Take time to sip a drink in the lovely garden out back! Cheers!

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the location was close to the metro. The hotel was decorated so cute. Just a few things needed a little updating but all in all it was a great hotel for the money. Would definitely stay here again. Also try the Turkish restaurant the staff recommends. Great location 5 min walk from the underground and it’s on a major stop. Not far from Heathrow. Small kitchen with things you don’t think you will ever use and the staff is very friendly. Waffles are very good for breakfast.

Stayed 1 week in late April in modified studio ("one bedroom open plan suite") at about $300/night. For that rate, I expected A LOT more. As another reviewer pointed out, it the hotel is very stingy. Asking for more coffee pods is not uncommon and providing liquid soap but no washcloths is just silly. Positive Staff is very friendly and helpful Luggage storage if needed but we were able to check in early as our room was ready Bed comfortable Room/bathroom very clean Some food is available in the hotel Hot water Safe available in room Small dishwasher Small combo washer/dryer Small refrigerator Blackout shades C-usb connections by bedstand Good wifi Negative Shower/tub is a bit difficult to get out of as it is deep and the only handhold is the towel rack No washcloths are provided!!! It might be awkward for a tall person to get into the bed as it is in an alcove with slanted walls Have to buy more coffee pods if you want more than the 2 provided Kitchen lighting is minimal Only 1 of 2 lifts were working over the entire week stay and things didn't look good for it being fixed anytime soon Could hear a lot of sirens and road noise, especially at night If you have mobility issues, know that there are 7 steps to get to the front door. We had a fabulous time staying at Ember Locke. the staff was extraordinary, especially John whi greeted us at the front desk upon out arrival and Umesh who led the restaurant/ lounge staff. The rooms were clean and well appointed and we loved the overall environment/ vibe of the hotel. Wonder location, wirh easy walking or tube access to everything. And some great local pubs to visit. We will definitely be back!
