This was my second time staying here for a week at a time. The first time was great, but it has gone down significantly. The staff was consistently rude throughout. They put me in an accessible basement room even though I did not need an accessible room. I asked if there was anything that wasn’t below ground and dark. They just kept insisting it wasn’t dark and you know what, they were wrong. The coffee hadn’t been replenished, there was no blow dryer and when I asked for one it took them over 24 hours to provide one. The room wasn’t cleaned properly and dust had accumulated in the swivel mirror. The bathroom was unclean. They made a big deal about scheduling a “weekly clean” and gave us a 9-6pm window. We left and came back at 6 to a room that hadn’t been cleaned, when I raised the issue they said there had been a miscommunication with the cleaning staff and they had gone home for the day. And finally, they locked us out of the room an hour before check out. They said the card was reactivated, it wasn’t, I kept having to go up and down the elevator because they could not seem to activate the key. Finally, a staff member had to come and open the door herself. Absurd, very disappointing, and honestly the whole thing was a bother. Stay somewhere else.

Perfect little apartment style room comfortable for a 2 night stay. Loved having a mini fridge, and cooking nook. Table was great to work from. No housekeeping so keep that in mind. Quick walk to Earls Court station, and Kensington High street. Friendly staff.

My friend & I stayed at Ember Locke for a visit during Christmas time. The hotel was aesthetic with a nice bar on the main floor. However, there were steps leading up to the main entrance, with two big luggage’s was extremely difficult to get up. When we got our hotel keys, our room was off of the main entrance on the ground floor. The hotel had multiple events going on through out the weekend which felt unsafe. The room was also not clean. We found an old badge and pistachios shells on the floor. Housekeeping did not come around and to get new towels you had to go to the front desk. Temperature was not room controlled, extremely hot and had to be shut off. Our tv also was not working. Disappointing stay as the pictures and potential is there but overall experience was not great.

Dusty room, unable to individually control temp of room which (in Dec) ended up being far too warm at times. Did not feel comfortable opening the window to cool it down since it was in the first floor. Was offered a dust-covered fan which did help some. The toilets in the rooms struggled to flush so toilet paper would stay in the bowl. On the plus side, the towels were soft and fluffy. The shower had great water pressure. There is no manual on how to operate the washer/dryer or microwave. I did manage to figure both out thankfully. I didn’t watch any television since it was located downstairs versus the more logical location of in the bedroom.

Overall our stay was fabulous and the hotel is very unique and quirky. We arrived 3 hours early to drop our bags off and John at the reception allowed us to check in which was much appreciated. In fact his service and friendliness were outstanding during our short stay. Our studio room was lovely and spacious and we loved how it was decorated. We had cocktails at the bar in the evening which was lively and the staff were very helpful. The onsite gym was also very good with plenty of equipment. The only issues during our stay were firstly that there were no towels in the gym and also they seemed under staffed at breakfast. We waited a long time for our coffee and food but the food itself was excellent when it did arrive. We would definitely stay again as the location was also excellent.

Hotel was beautiful, great location to Earls Court tube stop and the service was also excellent. The only downside was that it was extremely hot in the corridor and our room was also really really warm. We had a thermostat, but I asked the desk how to work it and they said the heater is centrally controlled, so we had no way to adjust it. We had to sleep with the windows open. Our room faced the back of the hotel and there was not even a breeze, so it was hard to sleep in the heat. I come from a different climate so for some it may not be a big deal, but it felt a bit like camping for so many nights with the windows open. Otherwise, just teaches me to do better research, but overall such a beautiful hotel with friendly staff.
Our room had a washer/dryer, fridge and sink, very nice for a multi-day stay.
