£27 breakfast and the poached egg was almost raw. I told the staff, he asked if I wanted something else but it had put me off eating. They still charged me £27 on checkout. Spoiled an otherwise nice stay

Have been staying at Cannizaro house for many years. Still convenient and best available in the area. Great location, good experience this stay all round with staff being excellent and motivated.... but its time for a refurb. Looking old, especially carpets and scuff zones on walls. The rug in reception would not make it into my dogs kennel and that is the area where you get your first impression. I'm looking forward to my next stay and if they spruce the place up... even better.

This was our 3rd visit to the hotel in the last couple of years which we use when visiting our daughter. Lovely location by Wimbledon Village. Nice room. Being an old property, lots of creaky floorboards and shame the windows aren't double glazed. Would give it 5 stars - but the last 2 visits we booked a garden view room, and both times ended up overlooking car park (in the same room which had a garden view in the bathroom). When I have asked if we can move to a garden view room I was told we had been upgraded to a deluxe room. Would be nice to have the view we booked for. An upgrade to a deluxe room overlooking the gardens would be better. Maybe next time !

Have loved this hotel for decades. Rooms are beautifully designed with luxury bathrooms and L’Occitane toiletries. Only downside is the from noise from the air conditioner. Superb friendly reception team.

This was our 3rd visit to the hotel which we use when visiting our daughter who lives in Wimbledon. Lovely location, but the only thing I find disappointing is that the rooms aren't very soundproof (no double glazing and creaky floorboards). We had booked a room with a garden view, but they put us overlooking the car park again, although 'upgraded' us to a slightly bigger room with a Nespresso machine. They offered to move us after the first of 3 nights, but it was to much hassle by then as we were out all day from early morning. Nice walk from the hotel into the village which has nice coffee shops for breakfast and a good selection of restaurants. Not too far to train station for going into London.

This is a beautiful old house. Immaculate and superior customer service. Rooms cleaned daily. Beautiful lobby and dining room. Benita was excellent in reception the day we checked out!
