We requested a two twin bed room (I snore) for our London stay. Between work and fun I've stayed in this neighborhood scores of times, and I love it.
Upon check in, we were assigned a disabled-compatable room (051). I've never requested such a room, but I have had them in the past without problem. This time, though, it was a real problem. And, I suspect it would have been problematic for a disabled person, too.
The bathroom stunk like a sewage treatment plant. We learned to keep the sink drain plugged, but that was not possible with the special shower drain. The shower was also without a curtain on the long side, so the entire bathroom was soaked after a shower, making the floor very slippery. We asked for a room change the next morning, but had to stay in it another night. We were reassigned to a much nicer room. That room needs some serious work.
