This was among the poorest experiences I have had while booking through Hotels.com. I suppose these things happen but the facilities were NOT as advertised. Specifically they advertised a laptop-sized safe which was just NOT the case. Coupled with the fact that my room window had no lock on it thereby giving full access to the room from the outside, I just couldn't leave my work laptops in the room or sleep comfortably. Anyone could literally slide the window open from the outside and walk right into the room. I ended up checking out a mere 4 hours after I checked-in.
The last bitter sting in the end was I that prepaid for three nights and the property would not issue a refund (which is in accordance to their policy).
I guess Hotels.com offers booking insurance for a reason--I've just never needed it in almost ten years of using the platform. Oh well, at least the staff was friendly, but good heavens, what a complete and utter let down this experience was! I won't be back.
