Ideal sized room for two adult travellers. Big comfy bed ! Great location for us- right near the tub stop, and despite being so close to the tub, it was still a very quiet area. Friendly staff and beautiful old building with lots of character.

An absolute gem of a hotel. Excellent professional service, beautifully designed rooms that are large especially for London standards and an amazing location for all local services and right next to Gloucester Road tube station for quick links around London. Easily the best hotel I’ve stayed in during numerous trips to London. I would highly recommend.

At first, the room was very unsuitable: it faced the inner courtyard with a 24/7 source of noise: the enormous air conditioning system. Changing rooms was no problem. The new room was tasteful, sufficiently large and very clean. The staff were very courteous and helpful throughout.

The hotel is feeling a little tired. The airconditioning in the room was so incredibly loud it kept waking me up. Staff were averagely friendly but not warm and bubbly. It's a great location.

Front of house, conceirge, reception are 5 star as always. Classic double was spotless, quiet and comfortable (as always). However, the bar service has taken a step back. The barman on Sat night was not attentive, more interested in entertaining his colleagues than paying attention to guests. Cocktails not as good as previous visits and worst of all 11pm last orders 11.01pm doors closed, music off and large bins of rubbish being wheeled through the bar whilst guests are sat in the bar with expensive drinks. Lots of amusing looks but even pubs don't do this... A bit of training incoming... Otherwise it remains a terrific hotel.
