Location great for our needs very close to many theatre's restaurants regent street shopping Seville row and museums Fortnum & Mason an easy walk Tube stop steps away Clean room, refrigerator in room w coffee tea and biscuits Staff very helpful Con: it is an old building that has been refurbished with exception of room furniture It is won the shabby side That said it’s very reasonable and for all the above reasons we will continue to make it our go to lodgings when we are in London

Great property, amazing to land here after a long flight. Most standout is the front desk staff. So aware of travelers and our needs. Our littles were falling asleep in the lobby due to jet lag and they got us in a room fast, even upgraded us to a comfortable room. Hotel is run well and people working there understand good service and hospitality. Tea and food at the restaurant is also nice and easy. Tube stop right out front and lots of places to eat nearby.

Great stay, highly recommended.

Such a great location in Piccadilly Circus. You are so central to everything. Always greeted with smiles and a friendly welcome by every staff member we met. The doorman, Paul I think his name was, took some time to walk us through some sight seeing options and gave my kids a challenge to find the 7ft Batman, which they eventually did and were delighted. Great hotel, great service, lovely breakfast. Would recommend to anyone.

TLDR version: would never stay here again. I am baffled that they are rated 5 star Pros: good location. All staff we interacted with were excellent. Downstairs bar had great cocktails that were worth the price. Hotel smelled nice. Generous breakfast offering Cons: -There is zero climate control. First room they put us in was unbearably hot. We brought this to their attention as we left for dinner and they said they would have an “AC unit” brought up. When we returned that evening, the AC unit was in fact just a fan and the room was even hotter. We had to ask for a new room at 10pm. The room they moved us to was cooler, but still too warm, and on top of that was smaller, more run down, and overlooking a construction site which woke us at 7am each morning (on the weekend). Heard multiple other guests complaining of the unbearably hot rooms at the front desk and the staff responded with “central system, no control, etc.” - rooms are extremely dated and have zero noise proofing - bedding is very sub-standard for a “5 star hotel” - our shower had hair in it from the previous guest - the elevator wait time is absurd It baffles the mind that this hotel has a 5 star rating. Would not recommend, will not be back.
