We usually stay in Westminster, so we couldn’t ask for a better location than the Royal Horseguards. Located near the Thames, Charing Cross and Embankment, the hotel offers easy access to the city’s top landmarks, the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, and Trafalgar Square. We also wanted to be near the Strand for the three shows we were attending so the Royal Horseguards was perfectly situated for restaurants and west end shows. Even though its centrally located, it was surprisingly peaceful. My room was spacious and beautifully furnished, with a perfect blend of historic charm and modern amenities. The high ceilings and traditional decor made it feel grand, while the plush bed, Nespresso machine, and heated bathroom floor. We slept well every night. Staff interactions throughout my stay were first-class. The housekeeping team kept everything spotless. Staff members were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The Royal Horseguards offers an elegant and comfortable stay and I would recommend to those looking for an elevated London hotel.

Area location nice for eating and local sites. Front desk was courteous and attentive. Rooms are large by European standards. The Breakfast buffet was excellent. Our party of four adults stayed in two twin deluxe rooms. The first rooms they gave us had frosted glass panel as windows and when I pried the window open all I saw was trash and garbage. Immediately went down to the Front Desk. They gave us two different rooms. Very surprised that a five hotel would have guest rooms like that. Not okay. Our second set of rooms was much better. In our room the shower did not operate properly and the heating/air conditioning was not functionally appropriate. Room would get very warm and there was no way to cool it down other than to open the windows. So... I stay in many hotels and this is unusual. I never saw any staff the entire three days we were there. I never saw one person from the cleaning staff on the floor. No carts, nothing. If you need extra towels or soaps, you have to call down to the front desk to have it brought up as there was never anywhere around to ask. Maybe it's me, but I found that disconcerting and odd. If I was traveling as a single female I would not like that at all. I checked other floors and no staff around. There is also no place to meet friends of family and converse. Only the lobby out front by the front desk which is cold being by the large front doors. This hotel does not feel cozy. It's pretty but cold in feeling. I will stay elsewhere next time.

Hotel was exceptional. The staff could not do enough, room was comfortable with a lovely view of the river. Super clean and the breakfast was super. Make sure to explore the history of the building, lots of little areas to go and explore within the hotel. Planning a trip back already!
