Great hotel. Old, historic, and in good shape. The breakfast was done via buffet with high quality food but the staff couldn’t keep up with the patrons so half of the buffet items were empty. Would stay again and would aim for a non-peak breakfast time.

Every aspect of our stay was superb. In particular the service at check in and the attentiveness of the staff was first class. The check in clerk was lovely, I didnt get his name but he was so helpful and welcoming, it was a great start to our trip.

Gem in the Heart of London

I Found the Royal Horseguards a gem in the heart of London. Very friendly reception team greeted me. Room was clean and warm. Breakfast was excellent, with a wonderful selection of items to choose from. I would definitely stay here again.

My experience at Royal Horseguards was simply wonderful in no small measure due to the outstanding calibre of every single member of staff irrespective of the role. There are in my opinion only positives to note. I will only ever stay at Royal Horseguards when visiting London in the future.

Good convenient hotel.

The Royal Horseguards is housed in an old building which probably needs some renovation. Nevertheless it provides good accommodation in an excellent location. Promoting the rooms with a river view as a premium product has one drawback, the hotel’s proximity to the Hungerford railway bridge into Charing Cross station. Trains rumble over the bridge from early morning to late at night. I used ear plugs to get to sleep and they did the job for me. The windows aren’t double glazed and in my room didn’t completely close. Otherwise I enjoyed my stay and would return, perhaps to a room away from the river.
