What an amazing hotel in the heart of downtown LA. I can’t say enough good things about the gracious staff and beautiful art deco building. I am now a huge Proper fan. The rooftop bar and restaurant were delicious and a needed getaway from daily work.

Now, let's talk about the bed – it was incredibly fluffy! Honestly, the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever encountered. Soft, plush, and just the right amount of support, I sunk into it every night and woke up feeling like I’d been wrapped in clouds. If you’re someone who loves a fluffy bed, LA Proper delivers in the best way possible. The overall vibe of the hotel is chic yet laid-back, blending modern luxury with a cozy feel. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel right at home but also leaves you feeling pampered and special. And the dining – wow. The hotel’s restaurants were a total highlight. Whether it was a leisurely breakfast or a gourmet dinner, the food was fantastic. They offer a variety of delicious options, each one prepared with high-quality ingredients. The ambiance in the dining areas was just as inviting as the rest of the hotel, and the service was stellar. Not to mention the roof top terrace, what a view! From the VIP treatment and plush, fluffy bed to the mouthwatering dining options, LA Proper is the perfect spot for anyone visiting Los Angeles. I can't recommend it enough and can’t wait for my next stay!

We love our trips to downtown and staying at The Proper. Service, food, hospitality and rooms are consistently top tier. The only issue we had was upon checking out we asked the front desk to hold our bags and they were left in the open until we returned from lunch. At that point staff had placed them in the lost and found. We were informed that the staffer didn’t properly check our bags in. Fortunately they were safe but we did worry they were lost for a second while they were located.

Great trip, staff were very on ball as our flight was delayed first by 12+ hrs and the staff adjusted our booking based on an email but they also rolled two reservations together so we didn’t need to change rooms part way. For me both those are signs of a special hotel!!

Great view from my room, quiet room was able to conduct work Zoom meetings. Room service was excellent- fast, delicious. Food in general was cooked to perfection. Roof top is a lovely place to eat a delicious meal. All the staff were extremely professional and made sure my stay was very pleasant. Specially drinks a huge plus. 2 minute walk to Belasco where I went to an event.
