This old hotel is very well maintained. We had to move furniture around to put our cpap machine next to the bed, no night stand on the left side, otherwise Great

Amazing hotel right on Melrose. It's south of the walk of fame, actually right below where Paramount studios end which allows for a quite sleep. Amenities are top notch and the restaurant downstairs is delicious. They did an excellent job of retaining the historical pieces (bathtub, doors) but added modern convivences and decor.

We had a very nice stay at the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.Really liked the patio. The only negative was the strong perfume smell in the lobby.

Front desk and lobby fantastic. Housekeeping fantastic. 1st reason for booking was to be in the Hollywood area, this had great access to public transport. 2nd reason for booking was for laundry services as per listed on Expedia as of 12th May 2025, however was told by front desk there were no services and had to go up the road 10 minutes to a public laundromat in the hot weather, this was extremely disappointing as this was a planned time in our Itinerary to do the laundry. Bedding, as a larger person it felt like I was sinking into the middle of the bed and could not find a restful spot. The room was smaller than average and 'felt' smaller than what was advertised, I would not recommend for longer stays.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Staff was super friendly. Property was well kept and clean. Our room was very small but very clean. The coffee/pastry shop on the corner had excellent coffee! And the Edmon bar/restaurant was very good. We will definitely stay here again.

My only complaints are within the bathrooms. They are tiny ! Toilet is extreamly small and theres no space to use the restroom without touching wet shower curtains. Ick! Also the water pressure is non existant and the temperature is hard to control. Otherwise very cute dainty older style motel/hotel. Great housekeeping, awesome staff. Oh yes parking on The weekends is tough as the resteraunt takes majority of the space.

Hollywood Historic hotel, LA

Lovely hotel on Melrose Boulevard. Has a lovely bar with food and outside seating area at the back. Staff are lovely and very friendly. Not very keen on LA as we aren't used to being advised not to go out after dark.Lots of homeless on the streets everywhere with rubbish etc. If you could pick the hotel up and put somewhere else I would stay again
