All the STAFF is fantastic. Michael remembered me from last time- hes checked me in twice. Rooms are perfect. I got the best one! Walking distance from everything. The place is perfect. And to be frank- im a stuck up "you know what" about hotels. Has been and only place I will be staying in Long Beach. Now and in the future!

Boring plain white walls throughout a poorly renovated building. Looks like a single man in his 40’s trying to be a youngster, decorated this mess. Topped off with a corny LED disco show in the steam room. For $500 a night, I’d look for better.

Scam of a place

worst customer service experience of my life. I paid for trip insurance, cancelled my reservation 10 minutes after making it and got charged the full amount. I have disputed the charge but will NEVER be staying with Hotel Mai. The GM was NEVER available, never returned calls or emails and was extremely unprofessional.

Nice hotel, with some issues

The location was ok, close to some great restaurants and the shoreline. However it was adjacent to the metro, which was rather noisy. Sadly, there were many homeless folk downtown. We actually had a nice homeless man warn us about the homeless as we walked back to the hotel from dinner one night - told us the later it gets, the crazier it gets, so to get back quickly. Happy that it had parking, hot tub and pool.

Wow, while I selected for having a hot tub/pool, they also have a steam room and sauna. They have eucalyptus towels and cold water for you too. While that was really cool, the heated toilet seat and bidet just took this place to the next level. Totally recommend this place.

Convenient, clean hotel

Central location, near lots of great restaurants. Room was great! Comfy beds. Clean room. Great shower. Easy to park in adjacent lot. Only complaint was that the sauna would not get hot and the hot tub was tiny!

Small parking garage, but it’s onsite. Heated toilet seats, non-fogging bathroom mirrors and a really upscale shower with a bidet were amazing amenities. Bed was comfortable but sheets might not have been the cleanest. 9/10 stay will be coming back.
