A Day of Babysitting.

We came to visit our grandchildren and babysit for the day. It was a full day with the girls, cooking lunch and dinner after driving for 2/1/2 hours in the early morning. By the end of the day we needed a comfortable bed, a clean room and a good night's sleep. Our room provided that very well.

The description online states that breakfast is included in your reservation. Breakfast consisted of an apple and a banana, cold cereal, toast, and coffee. Rooms are not cleaned. Underneath the beds was filthy. There were still items under the beds left from the last guests,which made me question how well the rest of the place got cleaned

Tommy at the front desk of Howard Johnsons provided outstanding customer service. He asked on several occasions if I had every thing I needed and suggested directions and places to visit in the Pasadena area. he has a great work ethic and positive attitude.

While the bathrooms had shampoo and conditioner in the shower, there was no soap near the sinks, only moisturizer... The only soap was body soap available in the shower, and this persisted over the 3 days that we stayed there so it wasn't a fluke.
