Very clean and modern, spacious bathroom like a size of 1 BR. Very close to Universal Studio 8 mins away. I hope they have breakfast on site and blackout curtains.

The room was very clean and nice. The beds were comfortable, we could not figure out how to turn off the AC so it did get cold, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. We only stayed for a night so we didn’t really explore the rest of the hotel. We came for Horror Nights at Universal Studios and liked how it was a short drive away. Many good food options nearby as well. Will be staying here again next year when we come down for Horror Nights!

Stay was pretty good, honestly a lot better than I expected. We stayed in the king deluxe so we had a nice big bed, smart mini fridge a decent size couch, view was of an alleyway but you can’t control that. Only complaint would be the water pressure of the shower was very hit or miss sometimes it would be decent and sometimes the water would be struggling to come out. Another issue would be the parking garage, it’s a very small garage and they park cars on top of each other so you have to wait for a worker to move the car for you. Didn’t know there was a gym or what level the ice machine was on, that would’ve been nice to know and been helpful info in the beginning. Besides this I’m very surprised with how I enjoyed the are. The outside is very sketch but inside is a whole different story. Wouldn’t mind staying her again next year for our annual universal horror nights trip.

Universal Studios Trip

Our room was perfect, large area, comfortable & clean, decor was hipster style really nice. Plenty of towels, shower was great. Had plenty of windows to see out top floor. Patio area was very nice. Lobby was clean, holiday ready and some of the staff in the spirit as well.. garage murals were awesome! Staff were very kind and efficient housekeeping staff were very hospitable and acknowledged us.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at the Lexen. First of all, it's very clean and convenient for our LA family, so we love that. The bathroom is great - big and light. We had rented one of the suites, which we preferred, but the living room furniture was so uncomfortable that we ended up with lower backaches and stopped sitting on it. It needs to be replaced. We also found that not having a coffee maker in our room may be the game-changer. Having to go downstairs for not great coffee was inconvenient. The staff were very nice and accommodating.

Was surprised at the $250 hold on my credit card, it wasn’t disclosed until after I booked. Same with the construction that was going on across the street. But the hotel itself is nice and clean. Enjoyed the coffee machine in the lobby. The staff was extremely polite and friendly.

The overall appearance and condition of the hotel was run down and tired. The beds were uncomfortable and the A.C. Unit clicked all night and did not hold the temperature. There were absolutely zero amenities.
