The Shade was so disappointing. Very overpriced for poor service, very expensive non-disclosed valet only parking and fees (additional $80+ per day). Room was not ready when checked twice, pool was tiny (size of a glorified hot tub) and no towels an hour after requesting. 1990 wifi speed (seriously), restaurant was closed with constant events and noise. Carpet was disgusting and coupons for $20 off per day bought less than 1 drink and soda. Terrible experience overall and severe disappointment. Will never stay again nor recommend. The Holiday Inn was a better experience!

Great staff, especially Abby at the front desk, she was instrumental in making sure that my room was clean and comfortable, she was very accommodating. Also due to my allergies, the cleaning staff made sure to vacuum my room thoroughly. Breakfast was great and the restaurant’s food was excellent! I enjoyed the bike ride! Fabulous roomy room with a marina view

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Shade Hotel. My room was so spacious and well appointed! I loved the tub out on my private balcony! The industrial type steamer was fabulous at getting a long formal dress ready to wear for a wedding. The robe was so comfy, as was the bed. Great room to relax and enjoy the view of the marina. Really appreciated the "living room" area with the couch. Nice touches like heavy shower doors, good hardware on the drawers... The ONLY thing that was not 5-star was the breakfast - dried out eggs, greasy sausage... nothing special there. Better than nothing, but you do pay for it dearly in the "amenity charge" which is another $34+ ! For that I would expect better quality breakfast. The oatmeal was good. We did like the rooftop pool and the food we ordered there was delicious! The shisito peppers had a tasty citrusy crunchy salt/spice on them, and the burata pear with arugula, ariels, on a good bread was yummy.
