We like the area around the hotel and the bar area. Our meal at Walker was just OK, not great but our server was good. The bedding is absolutely horrible. 3 flat sheets and a thin blanket, really? For what everyone is paying I expect way more than that. Parking not included and an extra $30 per day. No perks for staying there. We’ll look around next time which is too bad because we have always stayed there on our trips to Louisville.

The Galt is a beautiful property in appearance as well as layout. The street at the properties entrance is quite unique. The skybridge with its glass cathedral, excellent views & lounge area are great to relax in with a beverage from the bar. With plenty of seating it also provides a great place for breakfast & lighter fare for lunch & dinner. The rooms are spacious and the suites are laid out with comfort in mind.

Mistake with our reservation corrected an upgrade

Things started off bad with a mix up with our reservation. Someone had changed the date for our March checkin to a November checkin date in the Galt House system. Luckily I had the emails and confirmations on my phone showing the correct dates and luckily we stopped by the hotel early that day to ask about a early checkin because they did still have a couple rooms available at that time and were able to accommodate us. They did sell out that night so not sure what would’ve happened had we not arrived several hours prior to checkin time. They did upgrade us to a suite which was nice but we did originally book a king room but was given what felt like very small full size beds. The staff was as confused as we were with the date change in their computer. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is within walking distance of many area attractions. There is a $30 a night parking fee.
