Long weekend in Louisville, KY.

I had an excellent two-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Louisville Downtown. The location is perfect—walking distance to many attractions, restaurants, and the waterfront. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was fresh and well stocked, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Louisville.

Although the hotel was lovely and breakfast was delicious, I was let down by the subpar customer service. After a long drive on 8/13/25 , I arrived at 9:30pm with my family and confirmed my reservation, but the front desk agents in duty , refused to let me use the lobby restroom until I finished checking in, citing corporate policy.

It was nice hotel, downtown. Didn’t like that we had to pay 21$ a day for a parking pass. Front didn’t explain that they would take the 21 dollars out of the 50$ incident deposit.

The shower foot rest was cracked and I really wanted it to shave my legs but they were nice and I reported it. My desk clerk is/ was so nice and friendly-love her help with our questions and needs. May even stay here on our return trip. Plus already recommended to my sister.

Convenient and comfortable.

Great location. We could walk to the Louisville Slugger Museum and to dinner. It was worth the price for the parking garage. The coffee was great but breakfast was just ok.
