Villa stay in LoulƩ

We absolutely loved our stay at Seanā€™s villa. Would highly recommend to anyone with a big group, adults or family. All of the facilities were impeccable. The villa was very modern and clean. The pool and volleyball court were a highlight and would definitely book again.

Perfect family stay

Family of 13, including 3 children, had a wonderful stay in this stunning villa in a beautiful setting. Communication with Sean (the host) was excellent before & during the stay. Plenty of space for a large group with the main villa, two annexes and the large grounds. Lovely seating areas on the terraces for evening gatherings & BBQ. Fully equipped kitchens & clean and tidy throughout on arrival. Pool a good size for the group but definitely needed the pool heating which we added (additional charge). Not much around within local walking distance especially if you have elderly or young in the group but we used Uber taxis for getting around which was easy enough, always available and a good price. This worked out much cheaper than renting a car/van for our group size. Overall, an excellent place for a group/family stay.

Excellent Property, 10/10

Our group of 18 had an amazing time staying at the estate. The property was very clean and the kitchens were well-furnished with plenty of utensils and crockery. It is private and secluded, but just a stone's throw away from local amenities, restaurants and beaches. Fortunately, it is also in prime location for Ubers and taxis should you not have a car. Sean and Diana were both extremely accommodating and friendly, and made the booking and check-in process extremely easy. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anybody looking to stay in the Algarve, and our group will definitely be back. Many thanks Sean!

Large group trip (no kids)

Really great property. Kitchen well equipped, nice large bedrooms, lots of outdoor space for everyone to sit around. Few things were a bit ā€œrustyā€ (think because we went early in the season) - things like washing machine didnā€™t work, but the host was very quick to come and help so thatā€™s great! Thanks so much :) would definitely come again!

Amazing - will be back!

The photos donā€™t do this place justice! The grounds (which are perfectly maintained) are large enough to make you feel like you have your own part of the mountain. Very close to beaches, bars and restaurants and extremely easy to order an Uber. We stayed with 17 friends and didnā€™t feel on top of each other at all. We ended up staying in for BBQā€™s some nights as the villa was so nice. Sean and team were very easy to deal with and I would recommend staying here.

Lovely villas in a stunning estate

Lovely villas in a stunning estate, the photos just donā€™t do it justice. Great for family and friends to relax, spend time together and enjoy the scenery. Plenty to occupy the kids locally at the beaches and water park and many restaurants to choose from. Property and pool in great condition and Sean and the property manager were always on hand to help with any enquiries. We all had a fantastic time!

Beautiful villa in a stunning location

We booked Lago da Serra last minute due to cancellation on our original booking. Sean and Sara were so accommodating from the outset. The property is truly stunning and the photos donā€™t do it justice. Our children were in the pool every waking hour and if we couldnā€™t find them there they were feeding the koi fish in the lake or playing beach volleyball. We used the professional chef services for my birthday celebrations, Seb and his team were excellent. The food was incredible and ticked all the boxes. We loved our stay so much we have booked a return in August 2023.

Amazing

We had such a fantastic relaxing week. We stayed in the main house and we could not fault it. It was beautifully decorated and it had everything we needed and more. The views from the house and the outdoor space were amazing. There was a lovely outdoor pool, lake and small manmade beach with a volley ball court which the kids really enjoyed. Would definitely recommend. We will be back.

Did not disappoint!

Highly recommend! This was the holiday we had all been waiting for and it did not disappoint! We were a group of friends celebrating my husbands 60th and we just wanted to relax and play a few rounds of golf. Sean was very easy to deal with and communicated with us throughout the stay. Having not been to the algarve before, he suggested some fantastic golf courses for us to try (Pine Cliffs was a highlight), as well as some lovely restaurants - we even had a chef come to the property and cook for us! We had a fantastic time and we will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

Fantastic group holiday - highly recommended

We spent 7 days at the villa as part of a group holiday which had originally been planned for 12 adults and 2 children but changed to only 8 adults last minute following the introduction of quarantine in the UK, 2 days before we were due to travel. Sean the villa owner was fantastic throughout the entire process given the current uncertainties around international travel, he was in regular contact and allowed flexibility regarding the timing of balancing payments. The villa itself and the estate were as per the photographs on the site (awesome) and it was the perfect set up for a group trip, with the additional 2 outbuildings allowing enough space for all guests whilst still being close enough to be connected. The villa location is approx 15 minutes from both Val Do Lobo and LoulƩ easily accessible either via a hire car or Uber in the evening (tip if using Uber make sure you use the entrance by the Crest). Overall this was a perfect fit for our trip to Portugal, great location, stunning villa (and views), lovely pool and communal areas and everything needed for a holiday in the sun.

The gardens, pool area and outdoor living areas are immaculate. Check-in and out and communication with the estate manager was simple. The location and surrounding views are incredible. Beautiful place and great sunsets--that's what I'll remember this place for. To be honest the location can be a bit hard to find if you don't use Google maps, so I would suggest having a look at Google maps and pin pointing the main gate entrance exactly on the map (or your GPS), so you can get there quickly. Aside from missing towels and some amenities when we arrived (which was quickly solved), we had a great time and enjoyed the place thoroughly (you almost don't need to go anywhere else to enjoy yourself). :)

Amazing property, some improvements required

This is an amazing property - the main house with two annex villas works really well. Nice, big, swimming pool, set in fantastic grounds. Spacious and comfortable. Good location in easy reach of Algarve beaches, supermarkets, local towns and attractions. Villa needs some 'soft touches' to make it a bit more homely. For example, although well equipped, the decoration is very basic. We struggled at the swimming pool with lack of shade. Owner also needs to make more comprehensive maintenance arrangements - such a large property needs almost daily visits and onsite management. Reinaldo was sometimes helpful, but also slow to respond to requests and questions (for example, we did not have the child cot on the first night, although we requested it in advance). The freezer is still broken (apparently after many months of problems), and beeped continually. For the money we spent on the property, it would be nice to have basics provided on arrival (e.g. hand soap considering there are 6 bathrooms on the property). Overall great stay, but a property of this size and price needs more onsite support and communication.

Lago de Serra is without a doubt a fabulous place to stay especially for a large group of family and friends. It's location is superb, so accessible to all the places you might wish to see and visit. Great choice of supermarkets within easy reach, which is especially important when self catering. The view from the terraces of all three villas is quite breath taking. We loved the huge wooden table where all 14 of us gathered together to eat most evenings, after drinks sitting out on the big outside sofas watching the sun set. We had great fun down at the pool which is a good size, and one game of volley ball, despite the heat! These very comfy, lovely modern villas built on a pretty hillside make for a very relaxing holiday destination. Sean the owner is very responsive on email during the booking process and Reinaldo was also helpful in dealing with the few very small issues we had during our stay. Has to be 5 stars!

fantastic property and location 10/10

Our family of 16 stayed at this amazing property in June 2017. All three properties were presented to a high quality and every detail well thought out, the cleanliness of each property was excellent. The facilities, including the swimming pool, private beach, fish lake and the grounds were kept to the highest of standards. The caretakers Reinaldo & his wife were so helpful and friendly. The owners Sean & Sarah were extremely accommodating and very flexible with our requests. All our family will remember this truly lovely villa and the memories of our wonderful and very special gathering and have all asked if we can go again. We have no hesitation in recommending this villa to anyone who is looking for a large and spectacular venue for a family or friends get together.

Beautiful, faultless property

13 of us went to the estate for a Hen party - it was absolutely wonderful and better than we expected. The property is stunning, incredibly secure and has so much space, both inside the houses and the surrounding grounds. Everything is finished to a very high standard, the beds were very comfortable and the outdoor seating area at the main house had beautiful views - I noticed a previous review said there needed to be more lighting in that area however there was strings of lights all across the terrace, so i would say that problem has been addressed. The man looking after the estate - Reinaldo- could not have been nicer, very happy to leave us to it, but also just a whatsapp away if we needed advice with supermarkets, taxi numbers or what to do with the bins. Sean was great at communicating with me regarding the booking, payments and sent me a long list of restaurants, supermarkets and other personal recommendations. The taxi company Sean recommended was great - beautiful cars and drivers in suits - it felt more like a chauffeur service than a taxi - and the drivers were happy to wait for us while we went to the supermarket, and even came into the irish bar we were in to collect us and take us to the cars. I couldn't be happier with our choice of staying here, nobody could find a thing to complain about, and it exceeding all our expectations. I hope we will be back again, as 3 days was just not long enough. Thanks again, Sean, Lisa

Wonderful family villa 14 of us and 1 baby and we all had a wonderful time

The villa was everything I had hoped it would be..well stocked and in excellent order and the accomodation was ideal for a large family both in the main villa and in the two self contained bungalows.There was ample space in the extensive grounds for us to have our own space when needed but the pool and terrace were both ideal for us all to be together and bbq/cook then eat al fresco when we required.Great selection of restaurants around the area in Almancil,Loule and a little further afield in Sta barbara and in the Quinta area..would particularly recommend the Thai restuarant in Valverde where we were really well looked after with authentic Thai food. The representative on site Reinaldo was particularly helpful..speaks excellent English and any slight problem (We had a water leak one day)was speedily and efficiently dealt with. The only 2 slight things we thought would improve the villa was (1) more outdoor shade on the terrace and in the pool area and (2) more illumination on the terrace for when we ate outside in the evening.However in the scheme of things these were minor irritations..ovarall we couldnt have chosen better for our purposes and thank you Sean for the opportunities it afforded us Peter Firman and family,Norfolk August 2016

This is a beautiful estate with well maintained and equipped grounds and villas and plenty of space.

Just lovely - well equipped kitchen, beautiful grounds, we didn't feel the need to go out in the evenings and most days just went to beach for a short while. Air conditioning very efficient (and welcome!). Bathrooms good size and plentiful water despite hot weather and no rain since April apparently! Whole place very clean and tidy and well equipped (except for a can opener - bring one with you!). Well placed and good distance for airport (Faro) and beaches. Walkable to local town - just about for the fairly fit. Good local supermarkets and restaurants. Best bit though is the lovely pool and the large patio outside main house. Annexes also have good patios with hammocks! The estate is still quite new and there were one or two glitches but the owner was responsive. This estate will be even better next year I am sure. Things to note - there are very steep slopes throughout the estate so it would be difficult for someone with mobility problems to access the pool and grounds. We (a family party of 18 aged from 2 to 70+) had such a great holiday and really didn't want to leave. Thank you Sean for sharing your Portugese paradise. Only reason for 4 stars not 5 is a few glitches which I am sure will be sorted out very soon.

Amazing Place!!

We were a Group of 11, but there would have been plenty of room for a much bigger group. The property is absolutely spectacular, and one we would definitely revisit. It also benefits from having excellent privacy. Some of the taxis needed some help to find the property, so I would recommend having a car. It's definitely a 10/10.
