Waited 30 minutes to check in, without anyone at the desk. Elevators were slow and had long waits, do key did not work, had to go back to the desk again and was told to wait on the long line. The best restaurant la Fontana food was average at best, service was near awful

Sonesta Mobay is great for all groups, however, it was an awesome bestie birthday celebration! The manager and workers made my day feel like it was a holiday. There was a mistake made with my original booking but they upgraded me to the 10th floor. The advantages of 9th and 10th floor are sweet for girl trips! My first time in St. Martin, but it wasn’t my last time and that's because of experience and interactions with staff. Loved it there!

I won’t be rushing back

Amongst a sea of ineptitude and laziness there are a few staff who do their job well. The food was mediocre, but at least you get to eat using crockery and metal cutlery, and not paper plates with plastic utensils. In fact, we had all dinners outside of the hotel as the standard was not great. There are plenty of examples of the food on other reviews. The elevators/lifts were dirty and not cleaned once in my 3 days there. The gym was ok, but very drab. It could’ve been great if there had been a window to the outside world. However, great location, great views of the beach, ocean and aircraft landing at the airport. Shame that laziness has let this hotel fall into mediocrity.

So much fun without having to leave the area. Beaches are beautiful. My only complaint was that there was a constant ammonia smell on our floor and in our room.

I liked that it was all inclusive resort however the dining was terrible no reservations. There was not enough food for guests and tables to be seated. The service was not good. The rooms smelled like pee bathroom like fish. Some of the staff was friendly.

First the bathroom was weird. Someone in the room can see you as you are showering. No door. My first night I couldn’t sleep because of loud music all night. The restaurant was limited. On one occasion we sat down in the Mexican restaurant and waited for a long time before anyone attended to us even with water. We waited a long time to be told the fish was no longer available. Very very limited entertainment Not worth the money you pay for this all inclusive hotel.

It was an all inclusive but the website should have said tips were not only appreciated but expected! Just make sure you bring about $50-100 in singles! Also, don't book thru a third party. Hotels, Expedia, ete. Just go straight thru the sonesta Maho. If you want any change at all and you booked thru a third party it's nearly impossible. If you book thru Sonesta directly they treat you like family! That's just what I learned... Hope you enjoy your Vacation!
