The pictures do not give justice.

The hotel is actually connected to the Paix hotel. You can either self-check in or you can use hotel Paix for normal check-in. The breakfast is worth the cost, especially considering the cost of food in Lucerne. Rooms are clean. Bed is a little stiff. Location is in walking distance of the train station with a carry on.

This hotel was pretty good, although in comparison to others we stayed at on our trip, it was the least favorite. Probably because Lucerne was also the least favorite location, just too crowded. The self check-in was easy, the room was nice and spacious, very clean. The location was great, with everything in walking distance. Only complaint would be that it doesn't have air conditioning (common in Europe), so the window had to be open, which didn't offer much relief from the heat wave. And with the window opened, you could hear all night the idiots racing their obnoxious loud noisemaker cars down the street (thought I was back in America), as well as the belligerent youth (or whoever) out at night. There was a continental breakfast that was okay, nothing special, but I've had a lot worse, so nice to have it included. If I stayed in Lucerne, I'd probably stay here again, because it was comfortable and very affordable. Good value. And it's probably not often likely to be so hot you have to have the window open all night.

Room was clean and comfortable but note on patio door above the instructions to operate the door, said not to use and apologising for broken window?!?! Disappointing as liked to have sat on the balcony! Breakfast was reasonable but only one hot drinks machine so there was always a queue.

This hotel is convenient, easily accessible, and the rooms are spacious and clean Although I can’t fault the hotel itself we stayed here in extremely hot weather and there is no air conditioning. The room was like a sauna until 2am even with windows open and it was a real struggle to sleep. I wouldn’t stay again because of the lack of AC and I would not recommend booking this hotel in the summer months

Very nice, safe and newly renovated hotel in the middle of farm lands. Clean, modern, nice bed, amazing balcony and views with farms, cows and mountains. We’ve stayed in a superior room with bigger bed, ample space, awesome window blinds and a kitchenette. Very welcoming and helpful staff and free parking. Highly recommended!

Call me old school but I prefer to be greeted by a receptionist when I check in. Still, our room was quiet and roomy and the reception on call were quick to assist us. When the breakfast room remodel is done that should be nice, too. Our breakfast at the hotel de Paix was a little sub par but free. The hallways had the same cluster of leaves on the floor for the 3 days we were there. The price was affordable for expensive Switzerland.
