Worst place ever ! Our flight was delayed we reached 11 pm in night it was raining the front door towards reception was locked. We were standing outside the property with my family of three with 13 year old kid there was a door bell the lady did not let us in. I have to call Hotels.com and agent Was on phone with me for one and half our to convince her that booking is correct and finally she was satisfied . She tried to let us (buzz in) apparently they don’t have full time staff in and door security didn't work and we have to wait for another 1 hour for someone to come and help. Finally someone came and helped. He was nice Verdict. First trip to Swiss Luzerne paid lot of money for below average room overall super bad experience

Fabulous break at a fabulous hotel

Stayed four nights at the Hofgarten. Lovely hotel, really well located. Everyone we met there was friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast buffet was good, made even better by the freshly made coffee. Lucerne is a great place for a holiday and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel

A Swiss adventure

For the price paid we couldn’t fault this hotel, great sized room, comfy beds, nice and clean, there was also a fan in the room which came in handy! Great choice for breakfast, which was included in the price. All the staff were polite and helpful, we had free water everyday, use of umbrellas and reception staff helped with booking tickets and making restaurant reservations, nothing was too much trouble, good location, could not fault it, we had a great stay and would come again

Nice city hotel by the lake

Lovely hotel, close to lake and city centre. No air conditioning can make for warm nights. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant food was also very good, if a little expensive. I would stay again.

Wir besuchen jedes Jahr das Blues Festival in Luzern und dieser tolle Event lassen wir jeweils durch einen 3- tägigen Aufenthalt im Hotel Hofgarten abrunden. Dank dem freundlichen, familiären Service fühlen wir uns jedes mal bestens aufgehoben und sehr willkommen. Hier ist der Gast noch "König". A Great Hotel!

The hotel location was great, room was clean, breakfast was good and staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. I had to catch an early morning train when I left so they packed me a lunch to go. I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Hofgarten and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Lucerne!
