This writer's retreat was once home to guitar maker and author, R. O. Barton (The Tucker Novels).

My sisters and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful place! The area around the home is quiet, and we enjoyed the lovely sitting areas surrounded by woods and the sound of the nearby creek. The home was clean, comfortable, with everything one could possibly need. The host was great about responding quickly.

Oh my! We can’t say enough good things about this home. It is wooded and feels like you are I. The middle of nowhere. It overlooks the creek and offers great outdoor sitting and fire pit. Both bedrooms have a solid wall of windows with views to die for. The central living area is well appointed and comfortable. It is so peaceful and a great place to get away. The owners were great to work with. Definitely want to return!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! The peaceful solitude of my stay was perfect for a milestone birthday. The kitchen was ideal for vacation-level cooking/baking, the bed was super-comfy, the well-appointed bathroom was serious decadence, and the amenities (smart tv & sound) were perfect. Best of all was the finished patio where I spent most of my time, listening to the creek, herons, hawks, and songbirds. Best break I've had in years!!

Sitting on the deck/porch is so very peaceful…the creek provided a lovely place for quiet reflection and time with the Lord…plush cozy towels and bedding…a well appointed kitchen…and the host was amazing and very accommodating. Absolutely the best rental we’ve ever had (and we’ve stayed in places all across the country)! The sound of the creek, the peace and quiet, and the perfect accommodation gave us just the reset we needed. We enjoyed coffee outside both mornings, watched wildlife, photographed more than a dozen types of mushrooms, walked the beautiful creek and enjoyed long soaks in the jetted tub! We lacked for nothing. We would recommend this place to anyone!
