Good choice for an inexpensive hotel in Lyon. Good location. Simple clean and tidy rooms, courteous staff. No fridge in room and the bathroom while clean and tidy was 1970s vintage with shower in bath. You get what you pay for and I would recommend. Family rooms also a good option.

Great location for exploring. Friendly staff.

Great location for exploring on foot. Very friendly, helpful staff. Lots of good bars, cafes, restaurants, and shopping in the immediate vicinity. A little construction noise ftom outside in the mornings. Good value.

AC works well. Location is excellent, close to all forms of transportation as well as neighborhood restaurants. Staff are very helpful and friendly. The building is a bit older but well-kept. All in all, I am glad I stayed at Du Simplon.

its clean enough but the upper bunk bed I think its too dangerous even for my 10 yo. The guardrails is too low as the mattress is too thick. The family room decor is a bit dated compare to the other rooms I can see in photo but clean enough.

We appreciated the warm greeting from Clotilde. The hotel is near the tram (roughly two blocks away) and the metro. The breakfast buffet is filling and costs e16.00/person. There are patisseries nearby and the U Express grocery store if you’d rather not have breakfast at the hotel. Please don’t complain about the size of the rooms! This is Europe and a charming hotel. If you want it super-sized, then go to the States. We had a lovely stay, in a quiet neighborhood and felt like one of the locals.

We booked a superior room for the bath tub on the Hotels. Com picture. They gave us a little static upon check in about not having to provide it for us, despite me spending $16 more for it. Then the elevator is not working and we have to carry luggage 3 floors… not a professional property. No coffee maker either. Unusual for 2024.

I stayed in a double room for 3 nights and thought the place was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is a little tired in places but a great location for transport hubs and exploring the city. Good value for money.
