La Rose du Petit Bois, large family home with swimming pool in the Monts d'Or region

Our 330 m2 house is an old outbuilding of a beautiful property. To accommodate up to 15 people, you will find five bedrooms and two rooms that can be converted into temporary bedrooms if necessary. It is made for families and groups of friends: it combines the tranquility and pleasure of a large house with a garden and a swimming pool for summer times in the magnificent setting of the "Monts d'Or" , the green lung northwest of Lyon. It is located in the immediate vicinity of downtown Lyon (7 km / 10 minutes via the A6 motorway).

It is perfect for discovering this beautiful city and its region, then relaxing by the pool or simply enjoying its charm by staying calm between table tennis, billiards, idleness and enjoying the pool after a barbecue.

It spans three levels:
- street level with entrance, billiards and utility room,
- the garden level with the living areas including the kitchen opening onto the large 65m2 dining-room with its removable table tennis on the inlaid dining table, the small TV lounge.
- the first floor with the five bedrooms and the double bathroom.

The billiard table, the TV lounge can serve as extra bedrooms with mattresses and sofa beds provided for this purpose and two bedrooms have mezzanine beds where the capacity of the house for up to 15 people.

Bright thanks to bay windows, interior windows and a skylight, it stays cool in summer with its stone and adobe structure. Its decoration, which combines the old and the contemporary, gives it a unique charm: it is our hosts who tell us.

The landscaped garden is on a human scale and allows you to play badminton. The 8.5m x 4.5m pool with alarm has a shallower level (1.10m) designed for fitness and a large 50cm "children's" step for learning to swim. . A staircase makes it possible to descend into and out of the basin easily for people who are less mobile.

Ideally located in the town of Saint Didier, on a very quiet path, it allows you to go on foot or by bicycle for beautiful walks. Five minutes by car, you will find the Champagne shopping area at Mont d'Or where all the brands, including an Auchan Hypermarket, are represented. The village hearts of Saint-Didier and Champagne are two minutes away by car, fifteen-twenty minutes on foot through quiet streets in the middle of hilly fields.

In short, "La Maison Rose", the historic name of this old lady from 1835 as evidenced by her coating, revealing her soul of earth and stone, has offered a new life since 2003, the year of our arrival. This makes it a precious place for a great vacation. Welcome.
