Located in a quiet area in Saint-Germain-au-Mont-d'Or, a village 20 minutes from Lyon by car or train, our cottage La tour endormie comprises: - on the ground floor: a living room with kitchenette, - on the ground floor: a bedroom with a double bed, - on the second floor: a bathroom and a mezzanine with a single bed.
Beds are made on arrival and towels are provided. You have all the equipment you need to cook. A large terrace with an unobstructed view will offer you peace and rest. Parking spaces are available in front of the cottage.
Come and wake up the tower of an old castle built in the middle of the Middle Ages. More than a thousand years old, this unique place will take you on a journey through history: successively a defence tower, a dovecote and a chapel, listed as a Historic Monument, it has now become a comfortable charming cottage. We will be happy to help you discover all the elements of history of this building, and more particularly two religious decorations from the twelfth or thirteenth century brought to light in a totally unexpected way during the renovation work.
Thanks to its geographical location, at the crossroads of the Monts d'Or, Beaujolais and Dombes, you can easily discover the many facets of our region: small villages with golden stones, vineyards, lakes, as well as all the richness and gastronomy of the capital of the Gauls.
Many hiking and mountain biking trails are accessible around the cottage.
