Really friendly and helpful staff that went beyond to help see to our needs /queries Hydro pool and sauna/steam was exactly what we needed after a strenuous walk in the cold! Only downside was nobody would answer the reception phone line and we got given a meat meal instead of the veg one we chose but staff saw to this quickly On our check out the male staff went beyond his way to assist us and recommend local sites, which we did and can’t thank him enough - sorry didn’t get a name!

We had a great experience in the Hotel and actually ended up extending our stay from 1-night to 2-nights. The rooms were clean and tidy. Golf course was massive and other indoor amenities were good. I will definitely recommend this to others.

Wouldn’t Recommend

I booked our stay well in advance and contacted the hotel to confirm we were able to use the spa facilities on the day of checkout as I knew we would be arriving at the hotel later in the evening (9pm.) I was told yes, you can use the facilities on either day. Upon checking in we’re told you can use the facilities up until checkout time (11am) so I raised the query and explained I had contacted the hotel prior and at no point was told only until 11am. That’s when another member of staff (I now know his name to be David) chirped up and continued to tell us the facilities are complementary and basically made us feel like he was doing us a favour even letting us use them until 11am. The only solution at that point was to pay an extra charge for late checkout and at least have use of the spa until 1pm. After we got to our room feeling very unwelcome I re-read our welcome letter, checked the website and other reviews and nowhere does it specify limited use of the spa. Even the room leaflet stated 6am-10pm weekdays for leisure facilities. We stayed Sunday night hoping to use the spa Monday. In fact the website quotes in the T&Cs ‘you are more than welcome to enjoy the use of our facilities for the DAY post-checkout’ I queried this with reception in the morning after breakfast and was basically told ‘yeah ‘they’ don’t like the guests using after checkout.’ Breakfast was good, the lady welcoming guests for breakfast was really lovely. We did use the pool, my partner accidentally

Great hotel to stay in

A smooth check-in and extremely comfortable rooms. Ideal place to stay if exploring the Peak District and within easy access to Manchester as well. The spa facilities are amazing, especially after a long days walking where there is a huge jacuzzi to relax in as well as a sauna a steam room. Managed to charge my car overnight as well so that was very handy too !

Lovely Hotel

I and my partner enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was very clean, the staff were wonderful, the wellness facilities were too notch, we also enjoyed a 7km walk to Prestbury Village and around the facility. The food was also good. I would definitely recommend and I will surely be back.
