The room was awesome, directly above the sidewalk for people watching and directly on the ocean, could feel the waves crashing, just wonderful. The views are great, the salt water pool with wave crashing in, the blow hole and black sand beach 750meters to the east were fun. Nice safe little village, great inexpensive restaurants, loved the scabbard fish and Sangria.

Empfehlenswertes 2-Stern Hotel!

fantastic food , great access, good people. We really enjoyed the welcome, Andrea is a Diamond, and the hospatility. people were so eager to introdce to the hidden parts of the Island and speciality foods, . Catered well for specific needs also. Going down to breakfast and dinners were a joy. We got a local , Sol who could speak English to show us some sights and that was truly great and so feel very blessed. Thank you ever so much- everyone here for the memorable stay.

Just lovely.

Our first four nights of a three week stay on Madeira were at the Vila Bela, previously recommended to us by another couple. The room was comfortable, spacious and had a balcony overlooking the ocean. Breakfasts, taken al fresco, were of fresh rolls, cheeses, meats, fruit, etc. and the restaurant, also al fresco at this time of year, is highly recommended. The staff were friendly and we would certainly return for another stay. The village is a good centre for walks and has a swimming pool, several cafes, restaurants, a rum factory, mill museum and as we found on one of the saint's days, the locals know how to party.

hotel on the beach
