We stayed for a week in August with four teenagers. The layout of the property worked well with both rooms on the 1st floor having bathrooms and access to a private balcony. The 2nd floor is separate with a bedroom, ensuite, living area and large balcony (bigger than they seem on the pictures). The pool area is beautiful and plenty of sunny and shady areas. Only 4 sun loungers though, but it was so hot there were chairs and a small sofa in the shade, as well as the comfortable hanging seat. The pool is not huge and all one depth, but fine for us. The interior is very modern and clean, with really comfortable beds. The adults used the gym equipment in the garage a few times which was nice to have. Makarska is very busy in August but lots of restaurants, bars and shops. You will need a car as the walk up to the villa from the town is long and very steep. We hired a boat for the day and had a wonderful time hopping around Hvar and Brac, stopping at coves for swimming and rock jumping. The area where the villa is located is developing quickly with new apartments and villas, but there wasn't any construction noise when we were there. Lots of them are occupied with holidaymakers, making usual holiday noise around the pool/music etc... so probably not a great location if you want total peace and quiet. Overall, we loved it. Would 100% recommend if you are a group of adults or family with teens and want a clean, modern, comfortable villa, in an beautiful, buzzy town.
