I stayed in the 6th floor. Lift only went to 5th floor and then I had to carry my own luggage one more floor through narrow stairs. Room furniture was dated and so was the toilet fittings. I experienced the power shutdown while staying at this hotel. Not their fault but they could have made an effort to help guests by providing candles or torches. Location is good. Walking distance to beach front.

Nice size room, clean and great bathroom/shower. Good location near train station on a quiet street with excellent nearby cafe. Hotel staff very responsive and helpful. Only issue was our automatic keycard entry system was not working which required frequent assistance from the helpful front desk staff.

We had an overnight stay at this hotel. The beach was a pretty good hike, but the walk wasn't difficult and the harbour area en route to the beach was a nice walk in itself. The hotel had what we needed for a comfortable stay, and was very close to the bus station which was our main criteria for picking it. Easy walk to our bus in the morning, and lots of options for breakfast at the bus station. The hotel did have the option for breakfast, but we were leaving beforehand so didn't get to try that out.

The hotel is only a short walk from both the railway station and the bus station. The staff member on reception was courteous and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was quite large with a huge shower. It is only a short distance to the river where one can cross the bridge and get to the old part of the city.

Great hotel & location with very friendly & welcoming reception staff; only stayed for 1 night at start of holiday but so good we booked it again before returning home. Spotlessly clean, nice room & very comfy bed, only snag was going to sister hotel a few minutes away for breakfast.

Great hotel

Great hotel. Nice clean modern room with a good bathroom. Front desk staff always friendly and professional. Breakfast is served at the hotel around the corner but this was fine and only about 3 mins walk. Great location for the train station.

Lovely weekend getaway

Lovely staff, even checked us in early!! Were very accommodating and let us leave our baggage after we’d checked out. Although we found it perfectly safe, the bags were left in the hall in reception, not in a separate room. Room was lovely, everything worked. Shower and bathroom was huge! Nice soap. 15 minute walk from everywhere tops - in my opinion very central and prime location. Would stay again.

Good value for a very basic room

Clean, no frills, basic, small room. Good location 6 minute walk to train station in a large mall which has many reasonably priced good restaurants. Fun 30 minute walk to cathedral and alcazaba through shopping/bistro areas. 5 minutes to laundromat. Must climb 10 steps to elevator.

I had a really enjoyable 3-night stay at Hotel Zeus. This family-run hotel is modern, clean, and super convenient, located just 150 meters from Málaga’s train station. It made exploring not only Málaga but also the whole Costa del Sol incredibly easy! The location was ideal—I could walk to the city center in about 10 minutes, which was perfect for visiting the beautiful Cathedral, Picasso’s birthplace, and other must-see spots. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and my room was cozy and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Overall, Hotel Zeus is a fantastic find if you’re looking for good value and a convenient base in Málaga. I’d definitely stay here again!

Overall this hotel is perfect for a short stay to explore Malaga. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the room is cleaned every day, to excellent standards. The centre is around a 15-20 minute walk away and as a solo female traveller I did not feel unsafe doing so, even at night. The local area isn’t particularly pleasing and there are loud building works at around 7/8am but this didn’t bother me too much as I wanted to be up and about early anyway. The room had some bubbling paint on one of the corner walls caused by damp but it didn’t affect my stay at all and the room doesn’t smell of damp. Overall it’s a very clean and friendly hotel for those on a budget.
