Beautiful lodge. We stayed in the annex a short walk from the lodge. Staff were lovely and friendly. The grounds were a nice place to relax with a drink. Breakfast was really good ( full English breakfast). Proprietary said they like to employ young students to work weekends which we noticed. Nice to see the young crowd.

I was in room 10 which was very nice but it was next to the kitchen so you could hear the extractor up until about 8 pm also you couldn’t have your widow open during this time. The rest of my stay was perfect, breakfast choice and quality very good ,evening meal very good, staff excellent and ample parking. Outside at the rear was a lovely large garden with plenty of seating for drinks. This was my second visit this year and I would definitely stay here again.

On arrival the staff were lovely. We stayed in the white swan. The bedding was spotless. The room is tied and in need of decorating. There's a smell of damp and unfortunately we didn't feel comfortable opening the windows as we were on the ground floor, which is directly onto the street. We've stayed in the hotel before, which we enjoyed. But unfortunately we won't stay in the white swan again!

We stayed in the lodgings that’s part of the old lodge . There’s no parking not easy to find. Our room was number 29. Upon entering the carpet is filthy the room was covered in dust there was hair in the bath. The velux window blind was broken. The main window did not close properly the window didn’t open properly because of the guttering. We booked 2 rooms for 6 people but only got a double bed in each.

Our room was in the Old Swan,it is a property that the Old Lodge must own. It's a few minutes walk from the lodge. It was ok but wouldn't stay again. Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit, croissants, everything cooked to order. The only niggle was that we went for a drink in the lounge about 9 o clock, and it was just staff stood there ,one was swearing, which I don't think was acceptable in a posh establishment and while guests were present . Check in staff were lovely, but we won't be staying again.

Absolutely beautiful building and grounds, room was huge and clean, staff were all so friendly. Very peaceful. Shops only a short walk away. Will definitely be staying again, myself and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We didn’t make use of the bar as we don’t drink but upon walking past it looked clean, cosy and a few friendly people enjoying a drink
