This 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo in Mammoth Lakes is located across the street from The Village and on the bike park trails. Enjoy all the amenities The Village has to offer without all the hustle and bustle. This end unit condo features vaulted ceilings in the living room with lots of natural light flooding in, a large flat screen TV with cable, Wi-Fi access and DVD player. The living room offers a beautiful leather sectional so you can all gather around the gas fireplace with custom stone work. The dining area offers seating for 6 with a private deck featuring a BBQ grill and outdoor furniture, the perfect spot for al fresco dining! The fully stocked kitchen including a crock pot offers everything needed to prepare family meals. For the coffee enthusiast, a large pot coffee maker, Keurig (pods not included) as well as French Press and coffee grinder. The primary suite is on the upper level and features a California King bed, flatscreen TV and full bath with tub/shower combo. The second bedroom is on the main floor and features bunk beds with a Twin over Full, plus Twin trundle (for a total of 4), flatscreen TV and access to the shared hall full bath with tub/shower combo. The unit also offers a boot and glove dryer in the entrance and mud area so you can dry out your gear for the next day of skiing or adventuring and an outside guest ski locker for your use to conveniently store your equipment right next to the front door. The Val D'Isere complex offers a superb location with an outdoor pool (summer only), year-round hot tub, sauna, laundry facilities and BBQ on the premises and a ski-back trail. Val D'Isere enjoys easy access to the Blue Line Shuttle in the winter and biking trails in the summer. It is only a short walk to shopping, dining and the gondola at The Village. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club to enjoy facilities including indoor heated pool, steam/sauna, full fitness facility, yoga, Pilates and cycle studio and more. Great location

The location for this condo is great! Walking distance to the Village and in a quiet location. If you are sensitive to heat then I would suggest staying out of the condo during the day into the evening when it gets cooler because this place gets very warm even with the windows open. It would be nice if the condo was a little more updated but the overall experience of the place was great. I would recommend staying here if you want to be close to the village.

Great location & super clean

Val D’Isere is in a great location - an easy walk to the Village. This unit seemed recently redecorated with new carpet, furniture, comfortable beds and tasteful decor. It was the cleanest condo we’ve ever rented. The upstairs bedroom did get a bit warm on our July visit, but luckily the unit has fans.

Location is awesome!!! Short walk to the village and gondola!!! The place is warm and cozy to hang out after a day on the slopes. Looking forward to staying here in future.

We would not stay here again.

Our family has rented numerous properties over the years and although we liked the floorplan of this condo and the location, we were less than impressed with it. The fact that the kitchen wasn't updated was not a big deal but the organization of the kitchen was clearly done by someone who doesn't cook or bake. Here is a list of things that were terrible: 1) Prior reviews reported a well stocked kitchen. We did not find this to be true. Salt/pepper, paper towels, two hand towels, and a small bottle of olive oil. They had over 20 knives but none of them were sharp and I worried I was going to cut myself every time I sliced an apple. There were no measuring cups and most of the cooking utensils were cheap plasticware that was likely free from takeout. 2) Doorknob to bunk room kept falling off. 3) There are no frills with the bedding. There was one pillow per bed only. There were two very thin extra blankets and the blankets on the beds were not inviting. There were no pillows on the couch or chairs. 4) A couple nightlights would be nice (not the ridiculous light on the stairs). The bunk room gets pretty dark but the only way to get it some light is to leave the door open and the hall light on. Funny enough, the closets in the bunk room have enough light to light a whole city block. So weird. 5) The dining room table has a tablecloth on it so if you have messy kids, it is filthy the first time they use it and then for the rest of the stay. 6) The internet didn't work when we arrived Friday and after a thorough troubleshooting, we called the emergency line. They said they would come the next day. They said 9am but never showed. We had asked a neighbor for their wireless so we used that instead and reached out again to the agency and told them we didn't need them to come anymore. Then, of course, they arrived in the middle of naptime and woke up my sleeping toddler. 7) The garbage disposal did not work. Even though we didn't put food down it (luckily), every time that we would run the dishwasher the sink would fill with water and small bits of food and the countertop would flood. We were able to stop it by plunging the sink. 8) Master bedroom has no window coverings so it is bright by 6am. This wasn't terrible for us but could be for some. I'm sure some of these gripes sound petty but as someone who has stayed at many properties in the Mammoth area, I would never rent this unit again and would be hesitant to rent from the rental agency again.

Great location, well stocked

Overall the stay was great. The set up of the until made it very comfortable, lots of space for the 5 of us to be together or get some space. The kitchen is very small but well stocked with just about everything we needed to cook our own meals. The kitchen was very old as were some other places in the house but despite being old it was VERY clean. Location can’t be beat. All around a great time, would definitely rent this unit again.

Great location

Great location...short walking distance to the Village and nice that it was pet friendly. Property was clean and all necessities were readily available. Only downside is no AC. Since the weather was mild, it didn't affect us too much, but it would probably be uncomfortable during hotter weather.

Good place great location

Stayed here for a few days with the family. The location is great, easily walk to the village/gondola. The bedroom on the lower level has 2 bunk beds, no rails for kids, but was ok as my 3 year olds slept on the bottom and we brought one of the mattresses from the top down to the floor for our 7 year old. Master upstairs was nice, especially with the fan in the window to cool it down. The deck has an awesome view of the mountains. The hot tub was out of service while we were there, which was unfortunate, and the complex decided to do road construction during naptime one day; but other than that it worked pretty well.

Super nice! Super clean! Feel like the carpet was brand new! Feel like it was such a cute oasis and perfect for our needs. We parked right in front of the unit. Nice area across the parking lot to walk the dog. Down a short trail is the bridge to the Village. Location was all super convenient.

Great location and clean

The condo was great and super clean and seemed like it was in between some lovely renovations. The upstairs bedroom is no longer a loft, but an enclosed room with new floors, new doors and new vanities in both bathrooms. The location is perfect. You can easily walk to the village to grab a bite or shop. The only complaint is that the unit didn't have a washer and dryer available even though it said it did in the description. I called the property manager to ask where the laundry was located, left a message and never got a return phone call. My son ended up finding a "closed due to Covid" sign on a laundry room by the pool. All in all, we would definitely come back to stay.

Functional work in progress

The location is excellent. Condo Complex is old and in need of updating and TLC. Construction in the complex is ongoing for exterior siding, etc. A little noisy but not of much concern as we hiked, etc. during the day. Kitchen is functional, small (two adults max), needs updating / tlc. Loft Master Bedroom is newer and clean - queen bed is comfortable. Unit is on second floor therefore the adults must carry luggage up two flights of stairs. Loft stair handrail and stairwell drywall needs work. No a/c in bedrooms but fans provided - a little loud to sleep with. Some details with recent painting need to be addressed as it detracts from the effort made to update/ remodel the condo - jagged remains of blue masking tape at door trim etc. Loft furniture new and looks nice and compliments new wood laminate flooring. Living room Furniture old and couch stained, carpet old and stained. Enjoyed close proximity to restaurants and mountain bike trail end. We had two cars with us and parking was convenient and not a problem. Pool and jacuzzi seemed nice but was closed because of COVID-19. Trash dumpster was nearby and easily accessible.

While the location was great, and the size of the condo was nice, the keys didn’t work so we had to wait to have replacements sent, the WiFi didn’t work, and the TV audio didn’t work.

Great Experience

From checking in at Mammoth Sierra Reservations, to arriving, to departing, everything about this property was spot on! The condo was clean, the kitchen well stocked, they provide extra trash bags and an extra rolls of toilet paper AND paper towels! The beds were comfortable and the proximity to The Village and the Gondola was perfect, we walked everyday! The downstairs bathroom has been redone, they need to do the same to the upstairs bathroom as well, and maybe a bigger water heater as we struggled to all shower around the same time. When we arrived the condo was quite chilly, but that gas fireplace sure does heat the space up, as do the few baseboard heaters in the condo. Parking was a bit of a nightmare, there isn't a ton and we were afraid to leave for fear of losing our space, but other than that we were super happy and would DEFINITELY rent this property again!
