We had a lovely room on the first floor with a private terrace. Room was very comfortable and quiet. I appreciated the little bottles of milk for tea rather than the uht cups! A very nice touch! We had a one night stay and didnt have time to use the restaurant other than a quick glass of wine, and I was impressed with the choice. All the staff we came in contact with greeted us with a smile and were warm and friendly. We would love to return should we be in Manchester again.

Everything from the moment we arrived was perfect. Great service, lovely hotel and very convenient for our visit to Co-op Live. Very comfortable room; comfortable bed; quiet night's sleep; great shower.

Rude Ginger Male Receptionist! Abhorrent behaviour

Everything was great but the check-in experience ruined it for me. I had driven 3.5hrs to Dakota as a female solo traveller. I was exhausted & expected staff at reception to be as inviting and as kind as the doorman was but I was very wrong. A white ginger male was at the front desk & he was condescending, sarcastic, rude, patronising & entirely unpleasant. He did not tell me where the elevator was nor where my bags were or what was going to happen with them. I had to ask about where breakfast would be held & he spoke over everything I was saying & was being extremely patronising. I had to call my husband in the middle of his own business trip to make his way to me because or how uncomfortable this man made me feel. I am an outwardly dressed Muslim woman & I do strongly believe this ginger male receptionist treated me the way he did because of a racial and religious bias. To treat a guest who is paying a premium price for a premium experience is abhorrent.

Staff were polite and helpful as it was our first time in Manchester and they gave us advice for transport and ways to get around certain areas at night. Valet service was lovely, and the complimentary trip home gifts were greatly appreciated
