What a shame

The hotel was full of travellers, the mess they left at night and most of all the noise at 3am in the morning was unbearable, could not get to the bar as they purposely blocked the entrance, I’ve stayed here several times before but after this I probably won’t again, a great shame as it had always been a good place to stay

Rooms were very basic and only surface clean. Could do with a deep clean as felt slightly grubby. Bathroom tiles had mould and looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in a while. At check in staff were lovely and efficient. No food served at all apart from dodgy looking vending machines selling hot food....no thanks. Noise from other residents was a major issue. On going to bed people in nearby room were shouting and playing loud music. We managed to get to sleep but were wakened at 5.30am with these same people shouting, arguing and swearing. This went on for a couple of hours and nothing was done. Breakfast was very basic and not great quality. Sausages were really spicy and bacon and eggs totally overcooked so really unappetising unfortunately. Ok for 1 night as we were in Manchester for a show but definitely wouldn't recommend or return. Staff were lovely and I'd say they are the only positive comments I can make.

Great for a short stay near the city centre/ co-op live. Room comfortable and well-planned for dressing table/ mirrors/ plugs. Breakfast good - gluten free food on list. Just needed separate toaster. Staff friendly.

Stayed for a concert (which was cancelled).

THE GOOD: Nice friendly staff. Clean & tidy. Hotel generally in good condition although slightly dated. Free parking (dont forget to get the hotel staff to put in your registration number into the Parking Eye cameras). THE BAD: Very squeeky floorboards of anyone staying on the floor above you (we had Ten Tonne Tessa above us) . The beds also made a creaking noise on the slightest movement. Mattress was average. Located in a dodgy area.
