Dangerous hotel for children

Overall a lovely hotel and nice staff however ruined by our 3 year old sons near death experience, our child opened a window on a 5th floor and nearly fell out, the windows all have latch’s on however this was was broke off in our room it had clearly been broken for a long time. And before people assume I should have been watching my child you only had to slightly lift it and it would spring up and it was booked as a family room. It should be expected to be safe from falls from height. The hotel did rectify this however safety checks should be a part of the daily checks at the hotel. This could have been a break ending in disaster and a prison sentence for the hotel manager.

I had an amazing stay at The Midland Hotel, From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their friendliness really made a difference and set the tone for a great visit. The room itself was spotless, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout my stay. It felt like every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making it easy to relax and feel at home. Dining options were another highlight, being right in the heart of Manchester meant there were so many fantastic cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance, perfect for exploring the city’s vibrant food scene. Overall, The Midland is a perfect blend of classic charm, top-notch service, and an unbeatable location. I’ll definitely be returning on my next trip to Manchester!

Iconic Manchester Hotel

Wonderful hotel, a Manchester icon, where I understand Rolls and Royce met. Everything very good, including price. I’ve stayed here before and I will stay again. One complaint: the vegetarian sausages were very poor by contemporary standards.

If you’re going here for a spa day or to use the facilities you HAVE to either book a treatment or make sure you try and book a reservation at the time of booking the room for your 1 hour complimentary time slot (even this won’t guarantee use). We were really disappointed to not be able to use the facilities.
