The air conditioning was stuck on cold so we had to turn it off. Stains on towel and bath robe. Mould on sealant in the shower. Our room wasn't cleaned very well. Continental breakfast was poor and pastries were stale. Very nice shower. Comfortable bed. Fantastic location in the heart of the city and near the railway station. Also a nice adjoining bar. But we would not stay here again.

Room was beautiful. It had plenty of personality and was very clean. The hotel is well situated to things to do, with night life in Canal Street and lots of restuarants, bars and sightseeing within a 10/20 minute walk.

Hotel which definitely had his glory and needs an update. Uncomfortable bed, stained bed throw and mold in the bathroom didn’t add anything positive to my stay . Don’t think I’ll stay there again .

Reception gentleman was rude, Lifts didnt work, so you had to walk up 3x stairs to go and leave rooms (*quite annoying with Baggage). WI-FI was very poor, and ended up having to pay for an EE service to do anything. Screen Sharing didnt work! Overall, really bad experience......

From the moment we arrived the staff were just exceptional. They were warm, welcoming and friendly. We came from London and we were there to party and they had the best energy and great vibes! We were greeted with prosecco and they made sure we were settled quickly. Anything we asked was never too much. Rabab was the most lovely woman and Josh, he was there throughout our whole stay - absolutely incredible customer service - professional and friendly. Its service like this that makes the trip that little bit more special. Thank you so very very much for your impeccable hospitality. We will be back! And because of Velvet’s staff, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else! Oh! And the hotel is beautiful! The rooms were cosy and clean! There was a minibar full with everything we needed. The bed was SO comfortable! Could not fault a single thing!

The hotel was absolutely lovely and right in the gay village and close to all things city center. We arrived very early and they accommodated an early check-in for us which was so much appreciated. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful and the room was exquisite. We’ve already recommended the hotel to our friends.

Room was great though small - great shower. Superb location. Breakfast is really not good - no choice, v basic, no hot drinks..and although a kettle and coffee machine, no water to fill it or milk for tea etc… really needs to be sorted out! …or don’t even offer it!

Great location, glass on Prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch. The breakfast was included as a room service which was nice. The only slight negative, it was quite noisy. I don’t mean noise from outside, we were prepared for that due to location. It was inside noise - other noisy guests coming and going.

Average stay for Manchester

Rooms were small but OK. Breakfast was Continental with no choice and served in the room. Parking was 5 min walk away and £25 per day. With the discount the hotel was offering it came to £46 with a checkin at 11:00am and checkout at 4:00pm the next day. Overall good experience but costly.
