The property was very clean. Host responded quickly but we needed to consult the neighbors about shared canoes, kayaks, paddles, life vest, etc. The instructions provided by the owner for the water sports was poor, questions remained. No grilling but there was a grill next to the cottage. The kitchen was lacking pans, cookie sheet/pizza pan, glassware. Better lighting was needed in the kitchen. Loved the location on the river and the screened porch was awesome! Good hot water and water pressure, nice towels and linens.

Older property but what a view from the screened in porch, the Manitowish River in front of the cabin is no wake zone so it was like watching a boat parade every day as the boats went idling by.

When we arrived at the property we noticed a large branch on the roof, as we entered into the property the first thing we noticed was the musty smell. The house is much smaller than we imagined. Tiny bedrooms, tiny kitchen and too much furniture which made closing bedroom doors difficult. The toilet in the bathroom was leaking and the shower was plastic. The property could have been much cleaner and more up to date. The couch was ripped and the television was very small with 4 channels. The neighbors on either side are very close, which makes privacy challenging. The host is non existent, you deal with a rental company who is nowhere near the property. The only good things about the property is the view of the water and access for boating and fishing. I don't think we will stay here again.

Arrived to " Fishermans cabin".... it was NOT. That cabin was sold years ago, this was smaller cabin #2 called " River view Cottage".... THAT sign is still up in the cottage... cleanliness was poor.... no one had cleaned under the cart with the microwave on it in weeks... its on wheels!Ceiling fans did not work or were terribly noisy, the toilet rocked back and forth like a very tippy bar stool. Both screen doors did not close unless you would pick them up and physically push/ pull them into the frame... they are made of wood and the " repair" was using wood pieces to try to strengthen it, along with ( aluminum) screen door cylinders ... too cheap to buy two aluminum screen doors and make it right. Docks were in need of repair. Popcorn kernel on the carpet right when we walked in( did the vacuum???)...Small 7" diameter pine was cut down, not quite flush to the ground, and left 4 lower branches attached yet just to conveniently trip you! No upkeep on the grounds! Last years oak leaves and pine straw/ pine cones was matted heavily between and around both rentals ( cabins 2 & 3). Concrete steps leading to docks had huge build up od pine straw , rocks and weeds on them making walking on then treacherous... especially at night. Had to call in maintenance as the dock light 14' up did Not operate. The levolor blinds did not work in " master" bed room It would NOT take a whole lot to make this a tolerable cabin to rent... just go to a habitat store and buy replacements.
